Is the above is a direct quote from Bosa after his no show in G1....... The reason the Chargers lost is the defence put zero pressure on Tua. The 'blame' clearly belongs to that front line, and the defence genius Staley. No pressure, against that WR group, will equal a win for Miami in most cases. Did you see Tua had 466 yards !! (he he he he he he he he) I laugh. Did you see how much Bosa impacted the game? I would have traded that guy years ago.....

Same here. I am not expecting a blow out by either team but another hard fought game to be decided in the 4rth quarter. Bolts should win. Last week the defense could not stop an accurate passer with quick shifty receivers primarily because there was zero pressure on Tua. This week it will be stopping the run. The offense should score enough to get the job done. After some re-watching, Tua was getting rid of the ball so fast. His guys were open right away. Any kind of man was beat by scheme with motion to not allow the DBs to bump at the line. and Zone was destryoed with crossing routes. They left bosa unblocked a couple times and the ball was out before his 3rd step. He had Staleys number with a brilliant game plan. And Staley failed the club by having poor adjustments......

Every fan on here has a right to their opinion. That includes you. But I have to tell you. You were the last one that did not want Staley fired. Now you do. I am not feeling your timing. BUT you have the right to get on board now. You are incorrect, as usual, as I do not want Staley fired, nor have I ever taken that viewpoint. My off season view on coaching changes was fire OC Lombardi, and force Staley to hire a name DC and let that DC run the defence with Staley focused on HC duties. As far as this post you are quoting, if the Chargers lose to the Titans, and it is perceived to be because of poor defence, Staley catches all the blame. Defence is Staley's forte, and poor showings will not be accepted politely.....by anyone. If they lose, talk will start at the highest levels of the organization. Ok, you do not want him fired. But you have been thrashing him pretty good this week. More so than ever. This is his last season of effort I promise you. No playoff wins and he is gone. You cannot cannot cannot have a Herbert, and not make or win in the playoffs. Cannot times $268 million now. REACT AS I COMPLETELY SCHOOL YOU IN FRONT OFFICE PHILOSOPHIES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am hammering Staley because the results are what I feared would happen. Staley got seriously outcoached last week, seriously so. The Chargers have this Staley lap dog in the DC position instead of a name DC that would have stood up to Staley and hopefully made better adjustments, earlier. Look, it is either the chess pieces (the players) are relatively equal, and it comes down to playing the chess match.....or one side is clearly more talented than the other and coaching is minimalized. Miami game was loaded with talent on both sides, one side played the chess game far better than the other, and even then Moore's offence almost pulled off the win. Looking at the two OC's and the two DC's (well Staley is the real DC), Staley was the loser in this....he was the one of the four that failed to show up. Moore was the winner.....there are GM's already thinking about him as HC.

To be fair it has been said there were several plays where Bosa was left unblocked and Tua just got the ball out faster than Bosa could close on him.

Absolutely......the other club has good players and they make plays. Now tell me about Bosa's sacks....or whatever that impacted the game. Bosa is a no show more often than not......

Tennessee Titans. In 2022, Titans left tackles allowed pressure at a league-worst 9.4% rate, more than two percentage points worse than any other team. Andre Dillard and rookie Peter Skoronski will compete for that job, but we're unlikely to see a significant upgrade for the unit.
Mack Attack Time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well now Bosa has a "hamstring" issue... He's checked out on Staley IMHO, his hamstring should be fine he is a professional athlete, give me a break. I wouldn't expect much from him this season...

Both do well enough to kind-of justify keeping around, but ultimately fail to deliver big wins. Always with one excuse or another. TT, Staley, & Bosa are all on the hot seat this season.

Bosa impacted the game with an offsides penalty on his first snap of the season, and later a bone head face mask penalty.

Did you see how much Bosa impacted the game? I would have traded that guy years ago..... It looks like one of the ends is gone after this year. The trouble is age. Next summer Bosa is 29. In Feb. Mack will be 33. The trouble with pass rush is Bosa / Mack getting mauled by double teams and little or no help from IDL, ILBs. Tuli was best, Mack 2nd, Bosa spent too much time getting bullied to the ground by a backup RT and TE/ RB. Bring back Rumph. At least the waterboy didn't slap him around. Age is a tiebreaker if the players are equal in all other respects. Bosa is a long way from being Mack's equal as a person or a player. Bosa was a talented kid. He's no longer a kid, no longer talented. Of course, if Bosa gets 4 sacks and a fumble recovery vs Ten, I may be forced to reconsider. But I'm not sweating it. My respect for Bosa has reached a new low.

It was really interesting to see that, at times, Bosa didn't even get blocked. I think offenses have gone more and more to quick hit passes to receivers with good YAC. It protects their franchise, multi-million dollar player (the QB).
With defenses limiting the explosive long-ball play (ala Fangio defense) the offense has to take what it is given. A lot of times, that means in-routes, stick routes, slants, and bubble screens (along with regular RB screens). So, how do you defend that space in the middle that the deep split safeties are giving away...?
