I agree, take away the short middle pass. There were a couple times where guys could have altered Tua's pass by getting their arms up. Last year, they clogged up the middle... this year they didn't. IMO, McDaniel used a bunch of pre-snap motion to un-clog the middle by making LB's move outside to cover. With safeties playing so deep, it created way too much space in the middle. 3 safeties...? But closer to the LOS...? Dime personnel...? Sub Murray out for JT Woods...? Tua was going to his first read almost the entire game. And why not the first read was open. That’s why he was able to get the ball out so quick. If you can’t jam them at the line, the safeties are going to have to move up or LBs drop into the middle to clog up those lanes. I suspect Belichick will have a plan on Sunday. His philosophy is to take away the best weapon. He’ll either double Hill or knock him off his route every time. I’ll say this, watching Hill live his speed is phenomenal and it’s from the jump. He’s at top speed with his first step. The guy is running by world class athletes like they’re stuck in mud. He’s a different human NE will need to play above their paygrade, but BB has pulled that off many times.

Murray to wear the green dot and call the defense in Kendricks absence.
Ekeler likely out. Same for Henley, Kendricks who have already learned the Charger way. Rumph’s breakout season off to a hot start

Rumph’s breakout season off to a hot start Well...now we know why Staley didn't say anything bad about K9 in his presser. If he fails with the green dot, K9 slits his own throat and get ready for Henley. I for one am fine with the Game 1 loss to a really good team (offensively speaking). The hype buildup was pinging the meter before that game. We've seen that movie before. Anyway, the Titans won't be a walk in the park, but I see us winning by at least 5. Keep in mind, we all know the Chargers will always have games come down to the wire. When we suddenly go on a 4 game win streak heading into that waaaaaay too early bye, EVERYONE will be back on the bandwagon ONLY to see us lose the first game after the bye. 4-2 here we come. That's Chargers football people...keeping it real.
