You and Moe are talking about the 4th quarter and OT specifically, frozenrandomwords counters with the overall stats. Is he watching the actual games? Frozen? They won......it was interesting way in which they won, but they won. Do I care if the goalie gives up poor goals, yep, but if they win.....winning matters more, eh. Very true, but shouldn't it be concerning and not dismissed if the way you win is not sustainable, especially against more talented teams than the Vikings?
Seems we have to worry about Staley improving the defense and the offense getting/staying hot.
Looks good with the Raiders though, especially with their current QB situation.
We have to go into the bye .500

Yep, what you say is quite true.....I am not really dismissing it, as a fan I have zero impact, and my guess is Moore learned there. Do we agree the two teams in the Super Bowl are very different teams than what they were G1 ? Evolving is important, Moore will evolve as he gets to know this club.....3 preseason, 3 season, 6 games....pretty small set. Raiders are in trouble.......

Sounds like Chargers are signing a WR from another teams’s practice squad. Forgot the name Kellen Moore fans, what happened to our new improved run game? We’ve rushed for 90 yards the last 2 games I figured the pass game would set up the run game. Teams that blitz a lot usually get burnt from doing it too much. Vikes blitzed a lot and stacked the line. Moore should have been able to expolit that more? Moore did exploit that, IMO. Herbert threw for over 400 yards. Keenan had 18 catches for 200+ yards... and 2 TD's. Oh, and don't forget the TD pass...

The Vikings are 0-3. But they are a talented team. In fact, Jefferson and Hockenson are Top-5 in the respective positions. I think the Chargers did a good job in limiting them. In doing so, they gave up the run. Tua put 466 yards on us... and only 249 on the Patriots. But the Patriots gave up 121 yards (6.7 ypc) to Mostert (along with 2 TD's.) Translation: Defenses are making certain teams beat them certain ways. Most teams are doing the same thing. All that matters is winning. We've been in every game so far. I'm not freaking out, yet. In both the Miami and Titans game, disguised blitzes beat us in the end (along with player mistakes). In the Minnesota game, they blitzed a lot (knowing it gave us trouble before). We did very well picking up the blitz, tho. That's improvement in that area. I hope to be improved in all areas when we hit the playoffs... that's when you want to be sharp.

They were so concentrated on KA (after dominating them all game) they forgot about MW. It reminded me of LT to Gates in that way. Everyone was so focussed on LT. That play was actually 2 games in the making. Moore has been sending a WR in motion... only to turn back and head the other way (behind the QB). They've run it several times the last couple of games. They've never hit the motion WR before. When they did this time, the defense reacted... and BOOM... knock out. Future defenses will have that on tape... and have to plan for it. Advantage, us. Lombardi's trick plays were a disaster.

Beat the Raiders. That’s the mission this week. Keep it simple. Just beat the Raiders, whatever it takes.

There is a very opposite way this can be looked at. Moore put a plan in to beat the VIKINGS. Different teams, different schemes to execute.

True and that plan can go to shit if you rely on a questionable analytics driven decision where the success and failure rate are extremely close. (especially on our own 24 yard line)

We laugh at our own 24 yard line. Punting is for sissies. "4th down isn't 4th down. It's 3rd down." - Staley

Poor calls have been around since the invention of sports right?
