It felt like 3/1 to me. Raider fans are a particularly distasteful lot. Others are obnoxious (I’m thinking Eagles, Broncos, KC) but there’s definitely a dark vibe with Raider fans. You can go back and forth with fans of other teams by with the Raiders you never know if you’re risking physical confrontation with a little verbal sparring. So, is this Chargers season ticket holders selling their tickets to Raiders fans...? Or is this a secondary market (ticket selling ventures) that have bought season tickets... and are selling on the open market...? My guess is has to be both. There’s a group of Charger season ticket holders around my seats. Was very surprised to see them not show up and even more surprised that they sold their seats to Raider fans!!

I knew some season ticket holders down here in SD. They used to sell their Raiders game tickets. They said the Raiders fans were so drunk, obnoxious, sometimes confrontational that it was no beuno to bring the kids to that game. Kudos to you for showing up.

Luckily my grown kids were out of town because one of them mixes it up

That stiff arm was a thing of beauty! Didn't work so well against Crosby though.

I hopped the trolley to party with them in the parking lot. You could feel the tension while tailgating. There were as many (if not more) Raiders fans as Chargers fans. Even the particular Chargers fans that were there were a different vibe. A big police presence, too. Even the ushers were different for that game.

Daniel Popper getting it from Staley Popper... over-salting the chef's dish. That was a beautiful read/rotation by ASJ. What if ASJ hadn't slid... and fumbled 2 seconds later...? Popper would be re-counting McCree's fumble. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Nothing embarrassing about 70,000 paying customers...... It is straight up embarrassing to be outnumbered in your own stadium, the things you defend is mind boggling sometimes...
We need Herbert to date a Kardashian or something... All that Swifty publicity is working wonders for the Chiefs...
SMDH.... This illustrates the fundamental differences in our perspectives.....and it continues to perplex me as to why you do not see these differences clearly. I come from a management side in ice hockey, so I look at things through that prism. The bottom line is sold seats, then breakdowns about who is buying those seats. Yes, every club would love to have their jerseys in the seats all across the rinks, such as we enjoy with Montreal Canadiens, or what is found in NFL with Dallas Cowboys. Having such wide demand and recognition throughout the world improves club valuation greatly, and is clearly sought out in many ways. You guys say it every year at draft time.....'is that guy really a Charger style of pick with his questionable character history'.......Chargers trying to build and protect their brand. *On a side note, I wasn't "defending" anything, merely giving a different perspective.

The fundamental difference in economics between Hockey and the NFL is media rights. NFL teams can play in empty stadiums and still make boatloads of money from media. The money from ticket sales is pocket change. The other variable is that the NFL is a stop and start game. It’s rough when you’re playing at home on 3rd down and have to go silent because the visiting fans are so plentiful and vocal. There’s a reason why most teams want a home field advantage. It can make a difference on the field.

If 50+% of those jerseys are from other clubs, then people are going to recognize that the demand for Chargers football is low in LA.... probably hurting your brand and ability to sell season tickets. If I can buy single-game tickets on the secondary market, why spend on season tickets? The optics are not good if your home-crowd is not a home-crowd. If I'm out of the Southern California area... and looking for a team's fan-base to join... hopping on the bandwagon of a team that appears to have no bandwagon (despite having the market and the players) is not alluring. I don't know the solution. But selling tickets, for the sake of selling tickets, doesn't seem to be working. The seats you sell are shared by each NFL team anyways. Same goes for the jerseys you sell. The only "individual profit" comes from selling luxury boxes IIRC. Does anyone know what Chargers luxury box sales are like?
