Freak Lesson Time: New England has to take on his huge contract, we get Cap relief, so we get small return on trade. GM's trade contracts, not players.I thought I read Chargers eating a big amount of that contract to see him gone. I must assume the club paying is the one with the cap hit. need joe mcrugby to sort out the contract................................

Tom Pelissero reported that the Chargers are paying the majority of Jackson's $12 million guaranteed salary to facilitate the trade. Since he had a 40 million dollar contract guarantee I'm ok with that................................................ J.C. Jackson signed a 5 year, $82,500,000 contract with the Los Angeles Chargers, including a $25,000,000 signing bonus, $40,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $16,500,000.

I hate to see all that potential leave but it just wasn't a fit.

Wow that is a lot of cap savings. This is looking like a good deal to cut dead weight.

I love the no-nonsense approach. Talk trash or don't do your job...? You're gone. Bye-bye Tillery Bye-bye JCJ Big difference. Tillery never produced. JCJ was a pro bowl CB before he arrived. This is a Chargers failure.

This is a Chargers failure. There is a lot of noise. Allow your Emperor to cut through it for you. It's what I do. A lot goes into players and teams. There is such a thing as "a system". I have seen plenty of players perform well in one, and fail in another, and vice versa. DJ Fluker was one. Played not so good here, went to Seattle and they just loved him there. Belichick has what JC likes. JC and Staley were oil and water. I saw it long ago. Even pre-injury. I suspect Staley has his "system" and JC wanted the JC system. In summary, it was just a bad fit for what the Chargers are doing here. I don't think it was a JC thing, or a Staley thing. Just a bad fit. When JC had off the field problems I knew that was the end. Our front office does not play that game at all.

Oh, who the hell is playing CB Oh, Dallas has to much to cover Oh, is Ekeler back ?? They failed in signing him and failed in moving him. Got next to nothing from a team desperate for cbs. Staley is about to be exposed
