PFFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTTTTT. Elite defenses are for sissies. We have Staley and Kenneth Murray. Imagine what the 49ers would look like now if they hadn't traded away 3 1st-rounders to get Trey Lance. IIRC, Cowboys used one of those on Micah Parsons... LOL! Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. Helps to have a good coach. |

Might be, but it is October, so a very long way to go. I think the only thing stopping them would be injuries. But boy oh boy they are a MACHINE !! That head coach has perfect scheme's for running that personnel. Wow !! Now your going to get AF riled up. And the rest of us wondering "what if?"

This game will be fun to watch... Their defense will be looking to dominate. We need no turnovers and to stay healthy. Dallas was a turnover machine to start. I'll take that

A miss is where you draft Trey Lance and he ends up being .... well, Trey Lance. But they gave up 2 additional 1st round picks and a 2nd round pick. That's more than just a miss.

If you let runners go by you out of position and flinging an arm at them in vain allowing them to keep it close but catch a ball tipped up in the air 3 times is that "playing better" ? Really ? Really really ? REACT AS I DESTROY MURRAY BEING ANYWHERE NEAR FRED WARNER IN A LB CONVERSATION !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fail......maybe miss is more fair. A miss is where you draft Trey Lance and he ends up being .... well, Trey Lance. But they gave up 2 additional 1st round picks and a 2nd round pick. That's more than just a miss. purdy has NEVER lost a regular season game. At that point no one cares about Trey Lance. Winning makes everything better. 5-0.

And the rest of us wondering "what if?" My what if is I am convinced Staley's scheme is get a lead and go conservative. I am currently evaluating this. I am leaning into I don't like it. Then I try to think if anyone has done it, and been successful. Rex Ryan used to come close. But he would drag you up and down the field, play conservative offense, play good defense, and win 10-9. That's not quite the same. Minnesota went 11-0 in one score games last year. That is a record by the way. But they were wide open. Libel to win 33-30. We seem to get that lead in the first half, and batten down the hatches in the second half. I just don't feel comfortable in that philosophy. I just don't. Our next two games is a death sentence trying that scheme.

K-9 has gotten much better each game but that wasn't hard after Miami, Where he was getting drawn to the line for some reason on empty sets. Fred Warner is top 2-3 LB in the league.
Could K-9 be as good as Warner? Hell no, but he can be a decent play making starter in this league.

Moore needs to be Moore, which means trying like heck to score Moore! This game against Dallas will tell us plenty about Moore.....his play calling needs to be solid. Staley needs to get his defence playing well the entire game....for once.
