But but but....I was told KC's success is all because of their HC. It takes a Team of high quality----qualified people. Nobody gets a job in the highest level without the qualifications to be there...... Well, there is J Spanos, so....

I've given that opinion already. Mike Borgonzi, Chiefs Asst GM. Pros - Chiefs usually draft well. Cons - Is he part of the reason they draft well? Well, he is in the room when the picks are decided, so he is part of it. Regardless of his voice having influence in any decision, he is gaining that experience, right? It is interesting that an untested GM is acceptable for GM, but an untested OC/DC isn't for HC. C'mon now... We don't have a history of failed untested GM's every 3-4 years either.

But KC's org could EASILY be the exception where you take the assistant GM.

If the desire is a burn it down approach....why are you guys all focused on possible HC's? Who are the possible GM's...and what are their pro's and con's? Spanos keeps TT....just watch. I think some of us listed possible GMs. Here are names to watch: - Ed Dodds (Colts assistant GM), has interviewed a few places the last couple years but not gotten hired - Adam Peters (49ers assistant GM) - Brandon Brown (Eagles director of player personnel) - Chris Shea (Chiefs VP of football ops) - Ian Cunningham (Eagles director of player personnel) - Matt Berry (Seahawks senior director of player personnel) - Terrance Gray (Bills director of player personnel) - Lake Dawson (Bills senior executive) - Mike Borgonzi (Chiefs assistant GM) - John Spytek (Bucs assistant GM) - Joe Hortiz (Ravens director of player personnel)

I don’t care which Team, or even what sport for that matter, but somebody needs to fire a Coach at halftime during my lifetime… I know it has happened at the end of games........I'll try to look for halftime. It would be awesomeness. yes, in 1944 Cleveland Browns head coach Paul Rozbick was fired after heading into halftime down 45-3. So I guess it’s never going to happen in my lifetime (a HC getting fired at halftime). Same point deficit at halftime as listed above (but scoreless) and not even a ceremonial bitch slap. Could the table have possibly been set any better ?

It needs to be this team during my lifetime… --> Wrong again, it needs to happen this Thursday night. I thought it was going to happen! It should have happened!

I truly expect Staley to be fired today.
But if somehow he isn't...
Owners have been forced out before, probably for something more severe like illegal or illicit activities, but this would be a clear case of apathy, mismanagement and diluting the product of the NFL so Goodell should call on Spanos to step down and sell.
It's one or the other or both.

It's one or the other or both. Last night was both. We failed. We failed to frame Spanos in Vegas where there are any number of nefarious characters who could have placed him in an uncompromising position or recorded him saying something so repugnant it would make Dan Snyder look like a choir boy

Well that was interesting.....such a cacophony of miscues.
At this point, why would they fire Staley? They should make the decision now, but no reason to implement it.
Were the Chargers considered a Super Bowl contending roster at season's start?

Were the Chargers considered a Super Bowl contending roster at season's start? Yes, by the team and outsiders. Also, see the spend/cap. But they may just want to lose out with Staley.

Were the Chargers considered a Super Bowl contending roster at season's start? I think they were considered a team that could contend for the division. As it turns out that wouldn’t take a special season as KC is struggling. They are vulnerable this year. Heck, Denver may take the division
