Agree. Defensive struggle with Mahomes delivering in the end. Good back and forth game. It's what KC did all season. KC defense kept them close until Mahomes figures it out. And he did it with his legs and arm. Kelce and Chris Jones stepped up as well. And Andy Reid is in the goat convo. Credit to Spagnuolo as well I just learned yesterday the year the Patriots were 18-0 and lost the super bowl that was Spagnuolo's defense that beat them. Most of us that follow football knew that. 🧐 KC is lucky that no HC needy team took him

Anybody else Facebook full of people trying to defend Kelce's meltdown toward Reid? The internet is hilarious... Society falling apart.

I think gates was a first ballot lock. When you lead the ALL time statistic for your position that is the most related to winning (TDs), you are in the best of the best conversation.
Brady and BB are locks and they should be but not knowing what tainted gates application leads me to speculate as to why. The PED thing might be the reason but Peppers had a similar history with it. So I have no idea why he was snubbed.
Gates played approximately 15 years. No SB appearances. One AFC championship appearance, in which we put up 12 points. Post season matters. In my opinion, that’s why he didn’t get in on first ballot.

Same could be said for Tony Gonzalez and I think AG actually has more playoff wins. But again, TG is an analyst and on TV. The media aspect matters, AG needs to not solely rely on his achievements and play the media game like LT did.

Brian Urlacher - first ballot HOF (worked for NFL Network) Then look no further than another All-Pro former Bears LB in Wilber Marshall - 2 Time SB Champ, and extremely similar career numbers as Urlacher (in fact slightly better in sacks and INT’s). Retired in ‘95 and not even in HOF. Steve McMichael (physically unable to attend his induction) just got in this year despite being a key player on one of the greatest SB winning defenses ever (which was almost 40 years ago). It’s disgraceful that key guys from the ‘85 Bears are not in yet, while Urlacher didn’t even get a chance to sit down, before he get inducted.

More impactful of a Bear than McMichael. Bears.com ranked Urlacher 14, McMichael 17. That's their own website. I have a different take than yours: McMichael got in BECAUSE he was part of the 85 Bears, not in spite of it. I'll go one better, he wasn't even the best DT on the 85 Bears !!!!!! REACT TO THE "Refrigerator" POWER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We saw his whole career so we know what he did. Not being in marquee games probably did hurt him. If Gates has trouble getting in Rivers is really gonna have trouble.
