Seems to me Lynn is still OJT. Not sure there is a best time for that. Learning on the job is why few owners take that chance on a first time HC at the top level. *pretty certain a provision in the move from SD to LA was Spanos could not sell the team for five years. Tom or Joe might have better knowledge than I on that.

If the spanos sell, it would be a failed legacy for them. I just do not see them selling as much as I wish they would.

Taking that huge increase in value and putting it in their bank was the plan all along, or so I think.

The whole staff needs to go. But it seems that college coaches usually don’t translate well, and even when they do, it usually takes a couple of experiences with different teams to learn and grow. Not sure there’s a clear answer out there. Might take trying a few coaches (upshot: going 2-14 and getting top-3 draft picks) until we find the next right coach.
