Whisenhunt is giggling like a girl right now........................... Did the forum members that wanted Whiz gone learn anything ?
Did they learn when I said be careful what you wish for ?
Do they have the guts now to say "I called for his head and I was wrong. Apparently he wasn't the problem as its gotten worse." ?
It hasn't gotten worse. It got better against GB and has reverted against Oak and KC mainly because Rivers has had the worst 2 games of his entire career in the TO dept.

Depends on your view of the roster, and how far off it is to correct. Fix the OL group and you fix the offence in my view. Fixing this OL group could be quite the challenge. Sign a couple FA's, draft two OL in the first three rounds, and have all four work out (not be misses) and it is solved enough......until injuries come around. Seems like a tall order for TT and gang. Or..... It is a complete rebuild, and you only resign Rivers at a team friendly cost......draft a replacement in rd 1 if the QB you like is there, or roll with Taylor (which should put you in contention for top 3 pick).

Bridgewater did more than manage while Brees was out. He played well. But he had the Saints offense, which we don't. Sean Peyton deserves a TON of credit for that. We don't have him either.

Pretty easy one for me. We are not that far off at all. Our Healthy roster is nice. We aren't Miami for heavens sake. I'll take your first scenario.
The OL is off. We FEEL if we fix that we are in the hunt again. But has our QB hit the age wall ? THAT is the 64 dollar question. Dunno.

OL? Okung & Pouncey are decent starters who cannot be counted on to play. Quis appears to be a decent young starter. Scho- vet depth, serviceable starter. Feeney, Scott, Pipkins, Tevi are questionable. Lamp seems to be a career IR bust. I'd draft OT & G based on talent 1st. Look for same in a reasonable FA. Let 'em compete. A couple stars on OL & all OL/offense looks better. Just keep trying I guess.

Look to INDY for the correction the Chargers need.
Great O-line and QB safe play

Then roll with the OC's you got now. Keep Pouncy, walk from Okung. Pipkins gets another year for certain, the rest need to earn their roster spot.

He may never play again and we appear to have a decent replacement. We don’t have a replacement for Okung
