No Oline in the modern era will be perfect or as good as the 90's Cowboys... Even the current Cowboys revamped all stars couldn't stay good for long. NO the answer is not the oline... Its replace and bench PR. But that's a hard pill to swallow for the CMB 2.0That's as good a take as any af. You are indicating he has hit the age wall, nothing wrong with that angle. For me, I am in wait and see mode. I have a strong hunch the Org. is not going to make the move. They will chalk it up to a just a bad year. Not so much the age wall as the impatience and poor decision making wall... Is this a result of Whisenhunt being let go? Is there more to it than the OC and coaching? Was Whis trying to herd cats with PR? Was Reich doing the same? I'm starting to re think my entire opinion of PR and his game. We need to start Tyrod and see what we have in him... No reason not to at this point.

OL can help. They can't fix the rest of the team's stupid mistakes. PR still makes mistakes when not pressured but is better. They can't make a RB not dumble, reciver drop, slip or blow the route, RB/FB/TE/WR miss a critical block. Never mind defensive/ ST errors. That aside, I'd love to have one very good, relatively young, consistently available OT or G. Let's make that a priority. Start there. I suspect I'm in a minority but I'm not a fan of total revamps.

Any QB in the league is "better" when not pressured.

The problem is we get stuffed even though we have some good RB's. Again I say - fix the OL! I like how everybody is getting on the 'fix the OL' train..... LOL! I've been driving the "Fix the OL" train for years. And Roo has been there 99% of the ride. Glad to have you and Freak aboard.

Bolts would do well to 'run better' no matter where they are on the field. But... especially in the redzone... where passing lanes/windows get condensed. It would be nice if the other team had to consider the fact that we might run it in those situations. Empty backfield formations should never be employed in the redzone, IMO. Ironically, a RB in the formation would actually help WR's get open... Personally, I'd run a lot of 1 RB, 2 TE, 2 WR formations in the redzone. Still able to spread defenses (TE in the slot) and have a formation you can run or pass out of.

Look at his stats in Buffalo and tell me he "blows"... His QBR for the 3 seasons he started with them were 99, 89, 89.
In those 3 seasons: Over 8000 yards passing, 51 TD/16 INT, and 92.5 QBR.
LMAOOO... Yea he "blows"... C'mon man... smh

so if he was so good why was he let go? If he was good, he would have been in high demand. sorry, but QB r is meaningless.

Yeah, Taylor's numbers aren't bad. I doubt that the Chargers will open up the new stadium with Tyrod at the helm, though. If Rivers got better protection, and RB's got better run blocking (especially in the redzone), this offense would be playing from ahead... rather than from behind. Rivers frantically trying to score in the last minutes of the game is not where you want to be every game.
I think the decision may be influenced by the 25-30 million they will have to shell out to retain him. Could they use that money for an OL rebuild through free agency...? Will they use that money to re-sign Bosa...? If so... then I would be OK with Tyrod as a starter. Especially if he had a re-built OL.
Should they draft a future QB...? Burrow will be gone by the time we draft. And Tua/Herbert have their own faults/inconsistencies I'm not comfortable with. I certainly wouldn't put a rookie behind the current OL...

back in August, did anyone think Jacoby Brissett would have 15 TD and only 4 INT?
I'd be happy if Rivers had only 4INT.
Taylor would be fine under a revamped O-Line and good running attack.

That there is your answer... I think some guys on this forum are actually scared of Tyrod playing and possibly putting up better numbers than PR.
