I am now reading that of the current openings for HC in the NFL, the Bolts' job is considered the top choice for numerous reasons. This really implies what a poor job Lynn was doing with the talent available to him. It’s a top choice because you have the OROY and franchise qb in place. Numerous weapons on offense and Bosa hopefully James and a rising rookie in Murray to build around. Fill in some pieces on OL and DL and you’re good to go

I don't think Gus survives this purge and Steichen was connected to Lynn. Since the end of the Schottenheimer era we have been nothing but disappointed in the coaching choices by Spanos and company... Does that change this year? I kinda doubt it... The staff was fired en masse which is the SOP for most head coach openings (didn't happen last time as the Chargers brass wanted to retain Whisenhunt at OC) which makes sense in that you generally want the newly hired head coach bring in their own people. Having said that, I'd have to think the new head coach would want to think strongly about keeping Pep Hamilton around as the QB coach along with a select few others.

I was reading a Dolphins forum yesterday and they were lamenting the Tua pick over Hebert and someone mentioned that Burrows and Herbert were tasked to lead crappy teams and Tua was supposed to manage a very talented team. My first thought was that the Chargers have considerably more talent on their roster than the Dolphins. Flores just got way more out of his players than Lynn did.

I keep coming back to this photo from one month ago as to why Lynn was a goner by the end of that day. All the meaningless wins in the world wasn't enough to cover up the stink that this one left which followed a mind-numbing string of games where they found ways to lose games that should have been won. I wonder how strong a relationship Hamilton has with Herbert. Will Hamilton wait for a new HC to be determined, and show interest in retaining him as QB coach, as I suspect he will have options going forward.

Too bad the ownership couldn't fire themselves, but I guess the HC is a start. They need to get a big, huge name. Sick of these so called prospects.

I wasn't a Tua fan, so never bought into Tua's hype going into the draft. I suspect Dolphin fans lamenting the Tua pick hasn't come close to its' peak.....

Where's the audio ? Susie is whispering in Deano's ear. "Don't do it."
