These coach candidates should take the Chargers just based on the fact that we play the NFC East next year.

Once again, my sources were correct. Like I said yesterday, all my sources had him gone today.

www.espn.com/espn/feature/story/_/id/30537412/play-matchmaker-nfl-head-coach-carousel-make-your-pick-texans-lions-falcons-jobsForgot to add my 2 cents to coaching candidates from the above website. Yes to Brian Daboll or Robert Saleh (play not to lose, keep your foot on the pedal and a little in your face fire). No to Eric Bieniemy (fools gold -- people seem to forget that the Chiefs are often playing from behind -- without #15 miracle plays they would not be as good). No to Jim Harbaugh, Matt Eberflus or Raheem Morris (just no). No to Arthur Smith (we are not a running team). Not on that website's list, but NO NO NO to Josh McDaniel (he'd accept the job then change his mind again like he did to the Colts and head back to NE -- fool me once). On the fence about Greg Roman (H-Bomb is not a running QB like the other's he coached -- would ratherr stick with Air Coryall approach). On the fence about Byron Leftwich (I believe he will be a good head coach someday--but I would rather promote Pep Hamilton first). Would not hate bringing Marvin Lewis back from the dead (Bengals won a lot of games under him AND it might be the answer to lifting his playoff curse like Andy Reid's). I just bought a Lotto ticket so perhaps there's a chance for Bill Belicheck or Urban Myers (The Lotto is over $400 million right now). Bolt up in 2021--Let's go!!!!

I keep coming back to this photo from one month ago as to why Lynn was a goner by the end of that day. All the meaningless wins in the world wasn't enough to cover up the stink that this one left which followed a mind-numbing string of games where they found ways to lose games that should have been won. Herbert says his proudest accomplishment of the 2020 season was the team bouncing back from this game. Far from meaningless IMV. Great leadership Justin !

Herbert says his proudest accomplishment of the 2020 season was the team bouncing back from this game. Far from meaningless IMV. Great leadership Justin ! Clarification: Meaningless in the pure sense that AL could save his job if he ran out the season with a string of 4 W’s (which is exactly what happened) when the team was already eliminated from the playoffs. The dye was set for Lynn following that loss. VERY meaningful for Herbert and the other young players on the roster. That’s why I quickly swiveled around after initially wavering & hoping for a loss in the Falcons game to wanting them sweep the AFC West in the final three games. The residual effect of the W’s that Hair Bear delivered will mean far more in the long run than the loss of draft positioning. 🍺

Personally I could see them doing a lot worse than Garrett but I would prefer Del Rio.
What I think I would like to see is a hire who has actual experience being a head coach that is able to run the overall team. They need to hire an OC who can script plays that give Herbert the best chance of success and a DC who can know how game plan to keep the other teams offense off balance like actually blitz once in a while.
The HC needs to not be trying to wear too many hats like taking on play calling (Bieniemy) and instead view the game, manage the clock , know when and when not to challenge a call and recognize and adjust to what is happening during the game.

I still want a rule-hacking, strategy-building, tactically executing leader.

Yayyyyyy !!!!! Now we can go interview Colts defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus `!!!!!! Yay, we'll show you !!! I'll do you one better. KC got Andy Reid. Tampa Bay got Bruce Arians. We are interviewing Jason Freakin Garrett- The current OC of High Flying 6-10 Air New York Giants. And we had to ask the powerhouse Giants permission. We shouldn't have to ask them permission to slap their suck faces. We're going places now !!! Grip up when I say so. What.
