On your list, I literally feel like Bienemy would get the most out of Herbert. So that is a plus for him. Eric "Sleeping with" Bienemy seems to be the shiny object everyone is fixated with.
I just think his success is more of a product of Mahomes and Reed than it is of Bienemy.
I think we need a experienced HC. The main reason we lost this season was bad game management.
Bienemy and Daboll both are the shiny prize......I pass on each. I find Garrett an interesting option.

Me too. But there weren't any on his list.

I think of the quasi-available HCs with NFL experience that Jim Harbaugh is probably the best, and a better HC than Garrett. Jim Caldwell may also be a better HC than Garrett. Garrett is a better HC than anyone who hasn’t been a HC. If you can live with the risk, Daboll and Smith may become better HCs than Garrett and Caldwell. There’s a lot about Daboll that reminds me of Belichick’s football intelligence. I’m not sure I can live with the risk but I think they’re competitive with Caldwell and Garrett on a longer term view (2 season learning curve) especially if paired with a solid former HC as coordinator/asst HC.

Agreed... Look at Garrett's history, what has he done? Nothing... He had Dak, Zeke, an amazing oline with a decent defense and couldn't get Dallas much farther than any of our previous coaches. I just don't get the appeal at all...

He would have advanced to the NFC championship if not for a really dumb catch rule. I think there are better coaches out there but I would absolutely give him a shot. Harbaugh bugs me a bit. But I would be happy with either. Not My fist choice by any means but I really think we are just a few aggressive plays and some better clock management form being a contender.

One point Popper brought up yesterday seems like it could be relevant because I can’t see Garrett getting serious consideration for the job.

His fit here is appealing because he is absolutely a players coach, and while Jerry Jones meddled in EVERYTHING, Spanos doesn't. There is a thought that Garrett would be free to fly in LA.

Good take, another note is, living in jerry world garrett is used to the bright lights and microscope coverage that comes from being in LA.

Jason Garrett is the safe milquetoast choice. Has HC experience. No flash, no risk, can manage the ship. Won’t get you any excitement but not likely to shit the bed either. He’s Norv 2.0

As far as "Go find someone more dynamic than Sean McVay to coach the Chargers." Good freakin' luck doing that !

I just don't get the appeal at all... I tend to agree and would put Garrett under at least a few others. But a consistently winning record is still what it is. Consistently finding the playoffs/conference championships/Super Bowl appearances is limited to a small handful of currently employed coaches (Belichick, Tomlin, Reid, the Harbaughs) and one or two retired coaches (Cowher comes to mind).
