I'm still watching this develop:
Gerald McCoy was absent for Bucs' voluntary workouts this week.
As one of a handful of teams with a new head coach, the Bucs kicked off the offseason program earlier this week. McCoy, the subject of trade or release rumors, decided to stay away and not risk injury. McCoy's release would save the Bucs $13 million against the cap. Tampa has reportedly received little interest in McCoy on the trade market. It seems likely McCoy is done with the Bucs.

I don't think he'd be behind Ekeler. Well he would. Cleveland 3rd string RB isn't taking over Danny Woodhead's replacement in the Chargers Organization. I always thought Johnson was overrated, including by people on this forum. Being CLEVELAND's third string proves that. Miami Bust. What. That's the best you got? -- "But I'm Danny Woodhead's replacement!!!" Pffffft. Duke's a better DW replacement.

Not by last years stats he's not. If I was being nice, they are the same thing. Why go get what you already got ? Staff says no.

We have four solid RB's. Each of them showed up big time when called on last year. I wouldn't trade our 5th pick for a RB and I wouldn't draft one.

We're on really good shape at RB and the only real money goes to Gordon. I wouldn't mess with that.

Here's a change I wasn't expecting - The Bolts signed a new long snapper - Cole Mazza
Mike Wendt has been solid at LS for about a decade so I;m guessing this is a salary cap move.

Seems like the cap saving s would be minuscule.

I'm guessing that Mazza is another camp body.

Joe sure could be right but the kids got a perfect record. We shall see.
At any rate, I don't expect this to get us to the big dance. We still need a new water boy!

Starting May 8, teams will also get fresh motivation to explore the top veterans still on the market, since signings after May 7 do not count against future compensatory draft picks -- increasing commodities in a younger, data-driven game.
With that being said, here's 10 of the top remaining free agents available:
RB Jay Ajayi WR Michael Crabtree DT Corey Liuget DT Ndamukong Suh DE Ezekiel Ansah DE Muhammad Wilkerson OLB Derrick Morgan LB Jamie Collins CB Morris Claiborne S Eric Berry
