So is it over? In that I mean is there not going to be any more signings by TT prior to going to TC 2019 ? Not over yet.....There is going to a late Flowers/Slauson type signing to boost the OT position. The season can't start without it. Just quietly waiting to see what team is going to cut the right OT for TT to pickup. Post June 1st cuts may provide the opportunity.....Riley Reiff perhaps? bleacherreport.com/articles/2837455-early-predictions-for-most-surprising-nfl-veteran-cuts#slide3 You are talking about signing players that are camp releases, I meant FA's out there today.....

Ok.....your memory must be better than mine. I would love to pick up additional talent for the coming OL battle. I just don't think what we have currently will get us where we want to be.....

Bless little Sioux Falls heart, but even if he was Big School Billy we have no right to put that kind of starter pressure on our new rookie. His own college coach predicted a 4th or 5th round for him ! No one is listed behind Okung, and they have Trent Scott and Billy Freakin Camper listed on the right. Seriously ??

And now that May has become June for dumpster diving Telesco, teams have let go of their good vets because of money. They do it early as a courtesy to their players so they have time to find a new team. Maybe you know of a June deadline coming up ? Sure would like to see even a journeyman OT come help.

I agree, and just think how dire things become if Okung was lost for any significant amount of time. I like the potential in Pipkins, but it is a big jump for him.

Still looking at OT options: This list of top 50 FA still available and the only 3 OTs available are at 15, 16, 17: nfltraderumors.co/top-25-2019-nfl-free-agents-list/15. Jeremy Parnell 16. Ryan Schraeder 17. Donald Penn Jeremy ParnellThis article analyzes the Chargers salary cap situation and suggests they should be able to afford Parnell or Schraeder: chargerswire.usatoday.com/2019/05/08/how-much-do-the-chargers-have-to-spend-on-remaining-free-agents/
When deducting that amount from the salary cap space from the previous sites listed above, we arrive anywhere between $10.5 and 11 million. It may not seem like a lot, but that money could be used for a player like offensive tackle Ryan Schraeder or Jeremy Parnell without breaking the bank. Ryan Schraederchargerswire.usatoday.com/2019/05/08/chargers-ot-ryan-schraeder-among-best-free-agent-fits-remaining/Schraeder was signed by the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Valdosta State in 2013. In that time, he has made 88 appearances, 73 of which were starts. He was graded as one of the top right tackles in the NFL from 2015 to 2017, but had a down year in 2018, which led to his release. Schraeder, 30, was making a little over $6 million a year with Atlanta. But the Chargers would likely be able to land him on a one or two-year deal for slightly cheaper deal. Knowing how badly the team needs a serviceable player to keep quarterback Philip Rivers clean in the pocket, this would be a great signing for Los Angeles. Donald PennBleacher Report agrees that the Chargers need to add a veteran OT. They like Donald Penn to the Chargers: bleacherreport.com/articles/2838120-the-one-move-each-nfl-team-still-needs-to-make-this-offseason#slide17

Clearly TT is aware these players are available, and as far as we know, has shown no interest. I suspect there is a reason for that lack of interest. The draft is really the way to correct this deficiency, but at this point TT must be just hoping for improvement via camp releases. If it was me, I would be tasking the staff to analyze the other clubs OL groupings, trying to determine the best OT that might get released from their current club, and inquire about a trade. Late round pick might be worth not having to compete with any other club for the player. If TT has no additions, then let us all pray for a healthy year from this group.

To me it looks like the staff has a higher opinion of Tevi than we do. TT has passed on chances to replace him but hasn't. Also, AL has said they are happy with Tevi.

Its about people being named Camper that are behind him for subs.

I can't imagine why you don't like Camper - he started all of 8 games in college; A hulking tackle at 6-8, 309-pounds, Camper played in 40 games over his career with 10 starts, all at right tackle. He came into his own his senior season, showcasing his flexibility with an impressive performance taking over left tackle duties in the team’s win over Ole Miss.

For a guy that doesn't like players from small schools - this kid from and SEC school should be high on your list.
