You wildly and violently swore he would not be back last season. How did that play out for ya ? Henry can be the starter, and Gates is a great second string option here. Henry is a pass catcher, and then nothing. Gates is that next pass catcher. Limit his snaps, sub for Henry, play Chargers situational football with Gates. You been hanging out with that Wooden Mod again ? Twisting words just like him these days. What I said was "I would not resign Gates, he is done in my view." TT brought him back....and got some results, but another year older/slower....and you want him back again. I pass, again.... Often, your posts are subject to more than one interpretation. Is AG ok with being the likely 3rd TE and 4th or 5th option in the passing game? Henry and Green at TE. Allen, Williams, Henry, Gordon and Ekeler in the passing game... Gates contributes nothing to ST's... I think the only way he comes back is through injury again.

The guy has 51 2-Point Conversions and they want to throw him to the curb. Pretty sure our old vet says "Sure I'll sign a one year deal......AFTER freaking fracking training camp is over, AGAIN. We can get that from almost anyone, AG needs to really retire this time.

The last four games last year Gates was the most clutch receiver on the team, bring him back. He never seems to let us down (the fumble was a rarity).
