16.3 YPC Career. He must be a bad route runner and a magician then. Tyrell Coperfield. He's a great route runner. Route, singular. The other 15 routes could use an industrial sized tin of polish. The real magic is that he managed to con some team into giving him 300k per catch. He will pull that off once.....

Lolz. Throwing in a 5th rounder as the third cog in the most talented WR Corps in the AFC west. TW as an exceptional route runner. GTFO. 16.3 YPC Career. He must be a bad route runner and a magician then. Tyrell Coperfield. I mean if you only get two catches for 50 yards each, then that would mean that on paper you have a pretty high YPC as well. It's nice but not the end all.

You do not need a deep threat in the NFL. You do not need anyone to take the top off of a defense. Based upon our elite run blocking on the oline we'll be fine. Cantrell will get those 100 yards in the air in 13 catches IF we can get him off of the injured practice squad group. Its all good. AGAIN, I didn't say we couldn't adjust, but you of all people xenos KNOW it has an impact.

After all, TW was the #3, and now the Bolts are asking the #4 to step up to some degree. The part that seems to get ignored is the money side. TT/staff determined the cost the club was willing to absorb to retain TW, and that number wasn't close to what TW wanted (I believe), and not close to what TW actually signed for. Over paying brings along a bunch of bad things with it, unless the production is there. With KA and MW, there is not a chance that TW gets the looks he would need. TW was a #3 WR, and deserved a little sweeter deal than the normal #3 contract, but not crazy more. Over paying would have created the 'what about me' mindset deep into the depth players.....not a good thing. TT had little choice, and made the correct decision.

Based on what you stated, we should be fine then since Mike Williams had a YPC of 15.4 last year. Oh and Benji had a YPC of 15.4 career wise.

I expect a lot more out of you. What can I say, TW disappeared too much last season. While it would have been nice to keep him, his inconsistency made him not worth his current price. KA, MW, and HH are more important. And both MW and Benji have the ability to be deep threats and take the top off of defenses. I suspect the Raiders will find out that TW isn't a #2 receiver at all due to his inconsistent route running and catching abilities.

If it happens, I think Carr, and defenses being able to focus on him more will be bigger factors.

But now TW is a Number 2. Our depth at WR was major headaches for secondary's. TW could be 3rd or fourth or Gordon/Ekeler 5th pickings on a defense priority list.
Not anymore.
Its going to go a lot easier if we just TRY to keep up with me. Its not going to happen, but trying is cute. Disclaimer: Goalies are lost causes.

Now we'll find out if TW is a true #2, be it PR or Carr. Carr ain't PR, but he's a good enough QB for TW to get big yardage numbers with AB on the other side. If his production isn't near the top of the league for #2 WR's (he is being paid a top-of-the-league #2 WR salary in Oakland), then he'll be hitting the free agent market again in March 2020.

I would forecast that he will fall off his numbers. Carr ain't Rivers, and Oakland is not LA. Systems. He was our guy, brought through our system, you change that, it tends to change you. Not everyone. But I believe TW is a candidate for the ones it does affect. They don't have our depth where he could sneak through defenses.
