The run game is getting a lot more productive now that the oline has a few games playing together under their collective belts. It takes time to gel, and they need that trend to continue on Sunday. The whole team is improving, even the special teams unit is starting to slowly look more competent Vizcaino is a helluva punter

The Chargers also converted all 4 redzone trips into touchdowns. 7 rushing attempts, 6 passing attempts... for those that notice that type of thing. The run game is getting a lot more productive now that Lombardi understands the importance of calling a run play every once in a while... especially in the redzone...As TopCat once said... fixed it for ya!

GUMBY!!! Randall was awesome and under appreciated in NFL history, IMO.

I want to dedicate this post to rashawn slater. He went up against the absolute best the NFL has and he held his own, garrett had a sack on him and there was a busted assignment when a DT got another sack, plus slater had a false start. So even tho his PFF grade might be the lowest he’s had so far, to me this is the game that cements him not only as the best draft pick of 2021 but as one of the best LTs in the entire NFL!
garrett is a BEAST and slater kept him in check most of that game!!!

Austin Ekeler said Rashawn Slater told the RBs to stop chipping because he was more comfortable taking on Myles Garrett and the Browns pass rushers 1-on-1. "Rashawn is a beast," Ekeler said.

He's just so young. But he is Nebraska corn fed beef. Coach says give him time, then we give him time.

Staley is being smart..... We have the issue in NHL every year, seeing the talented young player, having the need in bad way. Smart move is sending kid to jr's...... Keep him up, and you have a talented disaster, send him down, and you have a star in few years.

Considering how well schofield played against the browns, I see no reason to throw Jaimes in there. Schofield has only been on the team for 3.5 weeks and already he looked like he had a full grasp of what they’ve been working on since lombardi came on board. His experience really showed out there, helping linsey on double teams switching to help norton, looking for work, he was running downfield on screen plays, they guy looked better than I remembered him from last time he played with the chargers. I think a lot of that might be the new offensive line coach or the lombardi scheme really fits his skill set.

They also got a good closeup look and film on him this summer during the two joint practices and preseason game.
