Jimmy Butler is a finisher.

Jimmy Butler is a finisher. The best in the NBA, in my opinion. He won’t go out and get you 30 points every night, but is the absolute master at pacing himself, so he has more in the tank late 4th Quarter (and overtime if necessary) than anyone else. It got lost in the shadows last year because of what happened next, but seconds before Kawhi hit his Game 7 buzzer beater, Jimmy stole the ball from him and ran it down for a game tying dunk. I also think Bam Adebayo is the biggest overachiever in the NBA. You can match that guy up with anyone. If the Lakers and Heat meet in the Finals, don’t expect much out of AD, because Bam will keep him in check.

Herro with 37 in game 4! What a show by the rookie. Practically buries Boston.

It’s hard for me to envision anyone but Miami winning the Championship right now.
Considering where they were when their last off-season started (April 2019), it’s damn near unbelievable where they are right now. They had no cap space, and a boatload of bad contracts that was going to doom them for years. Somehow they manage to get Jimmy Butler via a sign & trade, and also unload their bad contracts via other trades, and have two of the best rookies of this NBA year.
Lots of people (myself included), were wondering why Jimmy would want to go to Miami. Must have been for the weather, right ?
Lots of people (myself included) were also laughing at them several months ago, when they traded for Andre Iguadala. What the hell would they need him for ?? Then here today they are 1 win away from being in that series where he just may hold some value.
What a phenomenal organization. I guess this just shows that some teams really can do nothing wrong, and others (such as the Clippers) really can do nothing right...

Denver has the Lakers right where they want them. Down 3-1 again Time to get scared, the Lakers probably should have just dropped the game last night. I can’t wait until Jamal Murray wants to “go home” to play, when he hits free agency next. And how about the free recruitment for the Kentucky Wildcats during these Conference Finals: Anthony Davis Rajon Rondo Jamal Murray Bam Adebayo Tyler Herro Pat Riley

He shouldn’t ever leave Jokic. It looked like the Lakers were trying to drop that game for a sec. Interesting about Kty. Good recruiters already for sure. Can’t say I remember Herro in college at all Playoff Rondo is a different player than regular season Rondo

LeBron is still the King. Huge close out game with 38, 16 boards and 10 assists.
Denver has great heart and talent.
Lakers made it to the finals which was the hope back in July 2019 when they added AD.

While it doesn’t particularly thrill me to say it, the Lakers proved that like the Heat, they are a phenomenal organization that will always find a way to rise to the top. Some organizations have it, and others simply do not.
Last year they had a ridiculous fan protest, and pretty much seemed like the most dysfunctional team in professional sports. I saw their roster as just a bunch of guys thrown together, with no team chemistry.
Despite all that, here they are back in the Finals. Gotta respect that...

I’m smart enough (barely) to know the Lakers have a much richer history than the Heat.
