Thought that I’d start this thread to differentiate from the training camp thread. Feel free to post your thoughts and post-game observations in this one.
Is anybody game to starting an OGDT thread for preseason games? If so, feel free to start one up (it won’t be me).

I think we should just role with what ever is up. Old thread/new thread doesn't matter.

Adam Schein ranks his top 9 offenses. Top 9 defenses coming up soon. 4) Los Angeles Chargers Philip Rivers is a Hall of Famer playing at a Hall of Fame level. At age 37, he still has the ability to routinely take over games. And his mastery of the position (SEE: savvy pre-snap work, quick decision-making) helps the Bolts overcome an offensive line that is less than optimal. Keenan Allen is a legit star, with that pesky injury bug in the rearview mirror. Over the past two seasons, Allen's played in all 32 games, piling up 199 catches for 2,589 yards and 12 touchdowns. His running mate at receiver, Mike Williams, is poised for a breakout season -- if he didn't already have one last year, when he hauled in 10 touchdown grabs. Tight end Hunter Henry's over a year removed from the torn ACL that wiped out his 2018 season. I expect the 24-year-old to deliver on the promise so many have talked up. Even if current holdout Melvin Gordon doesn't play a down in 2019, Austin Ekeler and Justin Jackson will be able to step in and get the job done. www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001039716/article/nfls-top-nine-offenses-for-2019-season-falcons-own-no-1-spot

For those outside of SoCal:
Chargers - Cardinals are live on NFL Network.
For those in SoCal: LT and Dan Fouts are color commentary, and Hardwick is on pregame

I’ll stick this here ...
For those who believe Spanos is the devil, I had stayed that it wouldn’t have taken a microsecond for the Raiders to take the option for LA if the Chargers passed, leaving them landlocked down in San Diego with no stadium and no way forward:

The Bolts have a QB that can run? Not only that, a backup we could win with if the unthinkable happened. Sure would love to see us go a lil Taysom Hill with Tyrod.

The one thing I have realized over the past couple years of watching our preseason games against Arizona is that the Cardinals announcers literally LOVE 99.9% of anything that their players do.
I will admit, however, that that only positive I saw from Arizona so far is Kyler Murray. He does seem to play with confidence.
Except for the first drive fumble, overall the Chargers have looked good so far with very little key starters playing.

I agree with the general sentiments at the half:
Love the first two drives minus the Ek fumble (AL will put a stop to that). Taylor is a massive upgrade at the backup.
We didn’t really see the D, and I won’t be disappointed if we don’t see it until the second Sunday of September.
