Raptors will almost certainly be the 2nd seed. I don't see the Pacers holding onto 3rd. Im sure as a Raptors fan you would rather face them than Philly or Boston in the 2nd round. Don't look too far ahead Though. Detroit is a real possibility as the 7th seed with a brutal stretch of games coming soon. Raptors fear Detroit. GO PISTONS! Job well done Pistons, you guys certainly have our number. It was smart to lock down Kawhi early on, and leave Jeremy Liabilty Lin alone. I understand why Nurse didn’t start VanVleet at PG today, but if he did, that may have been the difference maker. Hopefully Lowry will be back tomorrow night, and Lin has played his final minutes as a Raptor. Of course VanVleet fumbled in crunch time, which pretty much sealed the game, when Drummond of all people grab a steal and make it a 2 possession game within the final minute. But overall, I was very happy with how well VanVleet played in his first game back in over a month. Well of course you would be playing a different Raptors squad in the playoffs than you did today, but if you guys wanna hold on firmly to that #6 seed instead of falling to 7 or 8, I won’t be too upset I think I’m about ready to accept we won’t be overtaking the Bucks for the #1 seed at this point as well. Every single time they lose, we follow it up with an L of our own, instead of gaining an inch of ground... I would love the 7th seed. The Pistons match up better vs the Raptors than Philly. Every Pistons/Raptors game this season has been great to watch. Don't be surprised about Drummond. He is very quick and gets a lot of steals for a big man. Brooklyn's schedule is brutal, I think the Pistons finish 6th. And you will get Miami or Brooklyn. The nets schedule is so bad they could miss the playoffs entirely.

Celtics fan here, what a disaster this season has been. Last year I was so proud. This year so disgusted. I think Kyrie is possibly a cancer to the team, trying to be bigger than he is. As a Duke fan it hurts me to say but he only played half a year there anyway. March Madness it is, go Duke!

That must go over well I don’t think they’ll be completely irrelevant this year, but I don’t expect them to get to the Conference Finals. Kyrie is tough to read, but he’s proven he can certainly turn it in with the flip of a switch.

It’s amazing...if the Bucks lose and we have to play the Cavs, we match their loss. But put them up against OKC, and they come away with the win. The game last night was a thriller, but not in a good way for a Raptors fan, considering they were up by 20 in the second half. I’m very happy with the W, but can’t help but think in the back of my mind how the 14 missed free throws by OKC ultimately gave the game away. They make only 1 of those, and the Raps lose in regulation (of course assuming everything else played out the same). Having Paul George foul out just before OT was another gift wrapped advantage. I hope they can win in a more convincing fashion tommorow night...

Raptors lost a tough one with a last second buzzer beater. Reminded me of Chris Bosh sinking a similar shot MANY years ago to win a game, do you remember that Chopper?
Pistons lose tough road games against Portland and Golden State and have Denver tonight....yikes!
Here come the Magic and Hornets....both teams are on fire and have won 8 in a row between them. It is truly a 5 team battle for the remaining 3 playoff spots. Still think the Pistons make it in but no guarantee. Brooklyn's schedule is brutal and I think they drop out and the Hornets lose some games....that leaves the Pistons, Magic and Heat making taking the 6-8 spots in some order.

Brooklyn's schedule is brutal and I think they drop out and the Hornets lose some games....that leaves the Pistons, Magic and Heat making taking the 6-8 spots in some order. Apparently that was the 2nd longest buzzer beater in the past 20 years. When it happened, I wasn’t even mad, in a weird kinda way it put a smile on my face as I calmly said “you S.O.B.”. I got really frustrated when they blew a sizable lead, and got into a hole, but to lose that way was nothing to get mad about. The game wasn’t really all that important to us. I took a 10 year break from following the NBA from ‘05 - ‘14, so I missed the Bosh era in The 6. I aint gonna lie, I don’t wanna face the Magic or Pistons in the 1st Round. Both of those teams are capable of pulling off the upset. I think we could sweep the Hornets though, and neither Brooklyn nor Miami scare me at all. So in the big picture if that Hail Mary buzzer beater ends up setting up a Raps/Hornets first round matchup, it will have been a blessing in disguise...

The Bucks are looking pretty darn good heading into the playoffs.
I think the popular opinion is they will stumble at some point, but they sure are making that hard to buy into right now...

Well, the Wizards will be undergoing a housecleaning process.
The only thing I’m really interested in is what will end up happening with Bradley Beal....More specifically, if the new regime will have a more reasonable asking price on a trade. If not, maybe the Lakers should pitch the offer they made for AD, to the Wizards. They could still land AD via Free Agency in the summer of 2020, and have a Big 3.
Not saying i want that to happen though, I’d much rather the Lakers be stuck with a disgruntled young core, and have the Wizards accept a lowball trade offer from the Raptors...

All teams (except Houston & Phoenix) should be trying to get in on the Beal Sweepstakes when that time comes.

Alright Pistons, just stay right where you are....and then take out Philly in Round 1.
Is that too much to ask ?

Alright Pistons, just stay right where you are....and then take out Philly in Round 1. Is that too much to ask ? Yes it is. Blake Griffin has been sitting for three games with a fake knee injury.....this is all part of the plan to ensure they slot right into the 7th seed. Detroit has three easier games to end the season and don't want to win too many and be "stuck" in 6th. Pistons lose in 5 to Philly or 4 to Milwaukee. Raptors/Pistons is a 6-7 game series that could go either way. Dwayne Casey has done the math.

Raptors/Pistons is a 6-7 game series that could go either way. Dwayne Casey has done the math. I don’t think your chances of ending up at 7th are that good. First of all, if you win at least 3 of your last 4 games, you will most likely end up at 6th simply based on record. I don’t see Brooklyn winning out and ending up at 42-40 (and I damn sure don’t see Miami doing that). Orlando has the best chance of winning out (albeit still unlikely) and if you tie with just them you get the tiebreaker via H2H margin. Ultimately, I think if you win 42 games, you will be the 6th spot. If you lose two games, and tie with both Orlando AND Brooklyn, then Orlando gets 6th based on being a (sorry ass) division winner. Brooklyn would get the 7th, pushing you down to 8th, based on H2H victories. To avoid the 6th spot, you need to lose at least twice, and also need either Orlando and/or Miami to win out & finish with a better record than you. Or if Brooklyn wins out and finishes with a better record than you, and you also tie with Orlando at 41-41 (assuming Miami is out of the picture) you can grab 7th. If Brooklyn wins out and takes 6th, and you end up in a 3-way tie at 7th with Miami & Orlando with a 41-41 record, Orlando will get 7th (based on winning their division) and the 8th spot would go to Detroit based on Conference record. Alsi by dropping 2 games to the wrong teams and ending at 41-41, you will be at risk of missing the playoffs altogether. The smart move would be to win as many games you can, and at least secure a playoff spot. You can’t play around and put your fate in the hands of games you have no control over, before you even have a playoff spot clinched... My prediction: 6. Detroit 7. Brooklyn 8. Orlando
