How weak was the East this year if GSW is pulling people out of the stands because of injuries, and winning on the road ? PS This is not smack talk. Well, it IS smack talk. But I want to write that it ISN"T smack talk. What does it say for the West, that the same group (minus Cousins) finished off the last two games against the Rockets and then swept their opponent in the Confernce Finals ?

match-ups do matter when it comes to scoring. i can't even be bothered to explain this stuff anymore.
I don’t need you to explain anything to me, I’m not the one who is perplexed by how they lost. There are two things that factor into scoring...execution of a play (aka getting a shot off) and whether the shot taken falls or not. Matchups matter mostly when it comes to execution of a play. Once the shot is off, matchups have little to do with whether the shot taken results in a score or not. The Raptors executed well enough to win, they just needed 2 or 3 more shots to fall. If the Raptors had a shooting percentage of 50+, I’d be worried about the loss to that patchwork group. Losing by a handful of points on a day which they had an off shooting night, doesn’t worry me so much, but it’s a blown opportunity nonetheless... Oh you need me alright. |

I applaud you for not giving up on your team they way you did after game 2 of the last series. At least you're hanging in there a bit longer. They were YOUR freakin Rockets !!!!! Did you know 3 years before becoming the Astros, Houston was Houston Colt .45s ? On the one hand I think its cool, then on the other I think its the stupidest name ever. I'm so torn.

But yes, I did predict the Rockets to go the distance. Does that make them and the Western Conference any better for getting steamrolled by this Warriors group, that per you makes the Eastern Confernce look weak ? Yes, I knew about the Colt 45’s, and I’m in the “stupidest name ever” camp on that one...

As Freak says above, I was good until Game 2. Moe can’t remember a damn thing anyway, so will surely go along with it as well...

You wouldn’t be able to tell the NBA Finals are going on right now, by listening to NBA Radio today, that’s for sure. It’s been non-stop talk about the Lakers circus, and how they speculate LeBron may try to force a trade outta there if they strike out in free agency this summer. I guess that kind of talk can’t wait until after the Finals are over... |

You wouldn’t be able to tell the NBA Finals are going on right now, by listening to NBA Radio today, that’s for sure. It’s been non-stop talk about the Lakers circus, and how they speculate LeBron may try to force a trade outta there if they strike out in free agency this summer. I guess that kind of talk can’t wait until after the Finals are over... I have never seen a league that does it as much as the NBA. This guy here, this guy going there, Lebron, Lebron, Lebron, etc. All while the league's postseason is going on ?? Crazy.

Don't know if you are actually upset about my unavailability after each loss or not, but just in case... I not only have three grade school age kids who I have to battle with to get to bed each night (a task that is harder now because they want to stay up to see the Raptors in the finals), but I have a wife that has three disabilities who needs my help at times even though she is quite independent and can run a household better than a lot of able-bodied people. Kind of makes it hard to post consistently.
