Detroit won the game, no matter which way you spin it. NFL doesn't give out trophies for teams that should have won. Isn't mental errors considered sloppy? I can tell you the Patriots have very, very few mental errors. How do the Chargers go from this loss to how the Patriots perform? Because that's what it takes to win a Superbowl. You know exactly what I meant, yet you argue just to be a prick. come on man. The pats I'm sure have room for a New Yorker to be their fan. Don't get so emotional, it's just a game man. I looked at the stats, the teams ended up about about even, not the dominating performance you would lead me to believe. Trust me, I wish 40+ years ago I did choose a different team, I certainly would have had a lot less heartache. But alas, I did not and here I am... Reading the endless coulda' shoulda' posts. Patriots are the benchmark, you wanna be the best, you gotta beat the teams your supposed to beat.

Daniel Popper ✔ @danielrpopper Some other mental errors I didn't include in this tweet/story: - Inman late substituting and lining up on 3rd and goal in 1Q. Rivers forced to call TO. - Rivers and Ekeler running into each other on a handoff in 1Q - Delay of game play before Rivers game-clinching INT … Daniel Popper ✔ @danielrpopper - Hold negates Rochell strip - Benjamin third-down drop - Ekeler fumble at 1 - Two TDs of 20+ yards called back by penalties - Two missed FGs by Ty Long - Rivers INT with 1:10 remaining when #Chargers were in FG range "We shot ourselves in the foot" theathletic.com/1213572/2019/09/15/mistake-after-mistake-chargers-doomed-by-self-inflicted-wounds-in-loss-at-lions/?=twittered …

My response was based on my take of your past posts. Sorry if I misinterpreted. As for the Pats, screw them. I don't care about their record nor comparing anyone to them. They win, a lot kudos to them. But I am not a fan. I believe they cheated along the way.

Coach Lynn NOT happy with the amount of penalties we had. Said week 1 was 3 penalties in the game, week 2 6 penalties in the 3rd quarter. Believes this happens once per year and expects this game to be the one and move on from there.
Interesting that he said he can't argue with the ref because our defender's hands were on the guys back. Hands on back is done.

Like Inman may have grabbed the shoulder of the defender for one fraction of a second as they jostled but come on. Lynn also said the Tevi touch on the back had no influence on the play. Those are the type of penalties that ref's have to use their judgment on as they happen every single play all game long. If they aren't influencing the outcome of the play let it go.

One is right above your post. Awful call. The second was a hold on Inman. Again, very ticky-tack and rarely called, especially when it’s a team that’s owned by a guy who likes a happy ending. Aqreed. Inman had his hand on his shoulder. more of a push than a hold. This was a game lost. the Bolts should have put this one away. 30-16 If you closely at the Inman holding penalty, Inman does grab his jersey right at the beginning and that is what I think got him the call. Still, wasn't much of a tug and you would hope with the way the game was disrupted with multiple penalties and flying yellow flags, at some point they have to start to let the boys play.

Texas comedian and big-time Chargers fan Mario Salazar is back now that the Money Badger is MIA. #BringBackTheMulletBadger <<Some profanities sprinkled in with what I assume is a string of Spanish profanities, along with Rivers, Long and Badgley thrown into the mix>>

The guy that threw the flag on Inman was really not in position to that tug

11 flags thrown during this 22-play sequence, including the two very weak TD-negating calls against the Bolts.

Yup, bad decision indeed. 😞 They did have a chance at overtime if the punter / backup kicker with very shaken confidence who had missed 39 & 41 yard field goals had drilled a 45 yard figgie with the game on the line. Looking forward to the Money Badger’s return. #BringBackTheMullet
