Welp, looks like the injuries and lack of talent at key positions will likely make this a long, ugly year.

Four 2nd half possessions: Fumble at the Lions 1 yard line Missed FG Missed FG INT in the end zone not how you get it done.

This is how a team goes 8-8. Game should have been secured in the 3rd quarter. Ekeler fumble the fatal blow as it turned out

And Freak is gonna freak regarding your second point. They were in position to manage a W, and found 4 ways on 4 second half drives to mess it up. That’s gonna leave a mark as the season progresses.

Reminds me of how losing to Denver last year cost us a 13-3 record and homefield advantage, this was unacceptable. Detroit is weak against the screen pass, we threw the screen pass like only 3 times with great success and that's all??

Rivers choked at the end. Can’t take a delay penalty in that situation. Then throwing into double coverage with MW running free? Poor vision and decision making. He almost cost us week 1 with an end zone pick.

On the bright side, the protection and downfield blocking were pretty good today.

This team should never lose when they hold the opponent to 13

He almost cost us week 1 with an end zone pick. MW looked wide open, sigh. I don't mind the delay because he usually burns a valuable 2nd half time out in those situations, I'd rather lose a measly 5 yards than a t.o., but it happens too often in his career.

Moe,
Can’t argue with any of your last three points. Missed figgies or not, PR has to be better.

Just like a pitcher in MLB who has like 2 games a year when they just don't have it, Phil has like 2 games a year where he doesn't have it, hopefully this was one of those 2 because he was off on several throws today, didn't look in the zone.

Those 2 called back TD's by the refs on ticky tack calls really cost us this game, that is what is killing me still, losing to a probable last place team hurts.
