He should get 51 million, just to keep with the forums format.. How the hell do we then pay
One Foot Shoeless Derwin
O Positive Okung (oh when I am pissed I WILL go there. Straight there. The gloves and my mind are starting to come off. Lose to Pitt and make ME live with it ? Uh uh. Empy don't play that crap.)
Neck to Neck Pouncey
Glass Leg Henry
Asstring, I mean Hamstring Adderley
One Arm Adrian Phillips
Paper Powder Puff Perryman
Never did hear Inman's excuse. (its gotten so bad they don't even bother with the lies anymore)
Balless Booter Badgley
Action Glass Jackson
And the rest of the Hee Haw Gang.
This is both funny and sad. I think I still need a shoulder to cry on.

Hate to say it, but it sure looks that way. Charger ownership is too much part of the problem. The Rams at least have a base. Season is not over though. Yep. There are a lot of Chargers issues that I am not happy about but I can't imagine that a knee-jerk reaction will help anything. Play 2019 season to the bloody end, take a fishing vacation, then make some decisions.
Agreed. I'm never in favor of making those type of changes mid stream. I get sometimes, teams need to shake things up, but it doesn't seem to change things much. BTW: its play the season to the bloody end, play the Post season until it ends or you finish it, then make some decisions

Something like: “Turn this around within 3 weeks, or make whatever changes you feel necessary to turn it around; otherwise we’re going to have to consider how to move forward after the season is over.”

Like what Tackle is available at pick #8 ?? pfft TT aint taking O-Line 1st round we all know its gonna be some skill position (this years turn would be CB, we had WR and DT already) instead of what we need to win.

I still wonder while the oline is getting/dropping into the backfield during the onslaught if we couldn't do the old wraparound handoff into their belly with the ball. Is that legal ? Oh, the hell with legal just do it.

This train wreck is not Lynn's fault. Start with TT and Whisenhunt then see things slowly turn around. So I know what the white knights are gunna say... Who do we replace them with blah blah blah. Talented football people are out there! The 9'ers hired John Lynch as their GM for god sakes and look at them now. This is literally the most inept franchise in the league.

I like when HC's fire Coordinators to fend off their own demise. What's bad is when it then leads to their own demise. Too much time to get to the HC.
They will not move from Lynn right now. No matter how much we knee jerk react.
Book it. (Injuries are his shield of protection.)

Talented football people are out there! The 9'ers hired John Lynch as their GM for god sakes and look at them now. This is literally the most inept franchise in the league. The HC is the HC. His job is to make sure his coordinators are planning and executing properly. Same with the position coaches. If this is the best they can do, well... we will have a great position for picks in the next draft. From a talent perspective, TT put together a solid field of first string skill players, and some talent on the lines (but not much). And the lines were always the concern (at least, for me) going into this season. No disagreement that we need better lines. And depth.

How can this be TT's fault??? Preseason, the Bolts were lauded for having one of the most talented rosters league-wide. That's a fact, Jack. The Chargers were a playoff, even Super Bowl, prediction in the preseason because of its talented players. The O-Line was pointed out to be the weak link- and that's proven to be a fact too Jack. Injuries have played a part in decreasing our talented roster, especially preseason or early season injuries to James, Okung, Hunter and MGIII holding out (more on that later though).
So it wasn't the lack of talent acquired by the GM. And I like Lynn as Head Coach but like someone said earlier BOTH of his very experienced coordinators need a fire lit under them. I believe Bradley has been slightly worse than Whisenhunt this year, but both have squandered talent with terrible game plans and no in-game adjustments. Neither has developed veteran or new players to higher levels and neither has been flexible to change due to injuries or opponents. I just don't see the creativity or any advantage these two previous Head Coaches and highly touted coordinators bring to the Bolts.
Maybe that's Lynn's fault, which is a huge red flag on a young Head Coach. He has to get the most, and I mean the MOST, out of Gus and Whis who have tons of experience as coordinators and coaches. Why have they suddenly lost the ability to do well??? Lynn needs to kick their rear ends and set expectations of replacing them with younger, hungrier, more creative coordinators next season (is mid-season too soon?), and if Lynn can't do that, then he needs the same ultimatum given to him!
I hear others blaming TT for not having "depth" at Every. Single. Position. as if that's possible. I believe Frozen first pointed out that no team can have all-stars three deep, and that a fact too (Jack). Telesco can be faulted for never getting a good O-Line complement, but I think coaching is the bigger problem. Players should be developed to be better than they were last year (pro or college), and I don't see it. Players should execute and play well, and I don't see it. Players should be motivated and give 110% every play, and I don't see it. Those are coaching problems. You can blame the players themselves and I could understand your argument, but this level of collective ineptitude hasn't just been tolerated, it's been accepted. That's a coaching problem.

Ohio dude, you have a well thought out post with good points above. But I don't know that it's that cut and dried.
We have an environment problem that I think negatively impacts everyone, top to bottom. We play in a soccer stadium full of opposing fans. Nobody pines for the Chargers; LA doesn't care about em and most of SD hates em. The media universally couldn't give two poops.
What a drag. I mean seriously, what a drag.
I know I've worked in an organization where there is little to no motivation to excel. A dead end job. Haven't we all at some point? Who has been there and crushed it? Nobody, that's who.
It's soul crushing. It brings out a minimum viable product. When nobody cares, it permeates you.
That's where we're at. Embrace it.

It's soul crushing. It brings out a minimum viable product. When nobody cares, it permeates you. That's where we're at. Embrace it. It makes sense doesn't it, and then it doesn't. I fear you are transferring what gets us down, into what has the team down, and I'll explain, of course. LAST YEAR Same external forces. Had that us against the world. Don't care about opposing fans in our stands, road warriors, ASAP mentality. Some things have happened to change that. We may never know the answers. Its all guesswork, unless the answers ever come out. My best GUESS for suspect number 1 is injuries. Not only did it deplete our top level talent, it forced less talent players to start, which made our coaches go Vanilla, and had more of a mental impact than we thought it would. You can tell a guy to ball out when you are 3-4 deep in depth. That can turn into What ever you do out there don't get hurt. You are all we have. We got a taste in my hypothesis last week, didn't we ? Hunter Henry's return. The guy was fantastic, and we had not seen TE play like that the entire time he was out injured. Star play IS that important. That's why they are little stars, and get the opposite of little money because of it. Game changer is more than just a phrase. A healthy loaded roster let us beat regular teams, and compete with/beat elite teams last year. When injuries turn that into regular teams beating you now, that has to have a mental impact, doesn't it ? Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, losing is too. We have dug the hole, and we have to crawl out. We just watched back to back 2-4 desperate teams beat us. Well, now it's time to get desperate ourselves, and it starts in Tennessee.
