Better. I still stand by my original question though. If the Chargers show the proper respect ($22 mil/year) and don't try to bad-mouth him when he won't accept $16 mil/year... they should get him signed prior to the 5th year. They're trying to generate excitement as they move into Stan's Place. A Bosa holdout is the last thing they need. It gets real next year when they have to draw more than 27,000 per game...

Well now we've traveled a very long winding road for you to change your tune entirely from what I originally responded to - that Bosa was under contract for 2020. So now to be sure I have this straight: We'll see Bosa on the field in Bolts in 2020 not because he's already under contract and will report under his 5th year team option (exercised), but because he'll be extended for no less than $22m per year before the season begins. Right?

Right? and they crucified Gordon on this very board. "He's under contract, he's under contract, take the field for your 5 million, blah blah blah blah"
Let's see them say that for Bosa. No ? No they are not. I laugh.

You seem to ignore that Gordon was offered a very fair increase, 10 mil/yr contract, and chose to bet on himself by continuing his holdout. That bet hasn't worked out too well, time will tell if he loses or wins. Bosa will get offered an equally fair contract I believe, numbers to be known at some point in the future, and will either decline and play his 5th yr option out, sign, or holdout...... Bosa's highest value in trade will be this off season, before the draft. I hope TT considers all options, including listening to any offers for Bosa in trade.

Remember what I taught you. GM's don't trade players, they trade contracts. Someone (YOU) posted to get a 1st, a 1st, and a something for Bosa. That is going to be hard to come by for a player facing his Mega Contract. The receiving team would have to pay that out.
Your status as Favorite is slipping right out the door.

I see a big difference between Bosa and Gordon - the positions they play. It's much more likely you can replace a RB than an edge rusher. They'll pay up for Bosa because they can't replace him in the draft....... Gordon's replacement may be found in the late rounds. I have a gut feeling though that Gordon has learned his lesson and he'll take the 10M offer at seasons end.

I think the Chargers are going to move on and use the money for Rivers, Henry, Ekeler, Schofield

I agree with pretty much everything Roo, but with one caveat.....what happens if Bosa is not interested in resigning with the Bolts, regardless of the dollar amount? Not a chance in hell I would offer Gordon 10 mil/yr.......Gordon lost that bet. * every player gets replaced, never forget that

No, not really......much more I am interested in forcing you all to consider all options, which include Bosa not wanting to stay a Bolt, or just trading him. I have never been the favourite.......but you know that being you are an inside man with the Mods.

You're making this more difficult than it has to be...

No. I'm saying (knowing the Chargers) that they will probably offer $16 mil, then be all butt-hurt when he doesn't roll over like a dog and accept $16 mil, and then bad-mouth him to the media because he wouldn't accept. I would offer $22 million and negotiate from there... like a normal club...

Listen, if Bosa becomes difficult (asking way too much... $28 million), holds out like MG, then I consider trading Bosa. But I am in no way fooling myself that I will get a better pass rusher in the draft. It can be a crap-shoot. Currently, Bosa is producing as the 4th best pass rusher in the NFL. Ahead of most of the highest paid pass rushers in the NFL (Mack, Donald,Miller, Lawrence...).
