A move to London would give the Chargers sole possession of an even bigger market, with the whole of the United Kingdom possibly rooting for them. The Athletic also mentions the state-of-the-art, 62,000-capacity Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as the likely venue for the team.

Somethings gotta give. They look to be faulting on the lease agreement (PSL's). So I could see them being forced to relocate. Being first would give them a huge advantage. A bigger advantage would be if Spanos sold

The Chargers moving to London has plenty of twists.......
It would seem that the NFL was 'correcting' the poor decision allowing the move from SD.
Why would the league not just expand by one club, and bring in that enormous new club fee?
Chargers would have to know that any such move would trigger a Rivers retirement. No Rivers would likely me few wins, and a losing team probably does not succeed.

There is so much craziness attached to this story. Especially the stuff disc brings up. How would you all feel? It will be hard finding a new team if I end up watching the NFL at all.
Whats everyone's prediction on the chances? I'll say 50/50...

Gonna make it even harder to sell PSL’s and tickets for the Inglewood monstrosity.

Gonna make it even harder to sell PSL’s and tickets for the Inglewood monstrosity. Pretty certain the league will come out hard killing this speculation. Doesn't change the Chargers inability to draw any large fan support in the LA area. A number of years from now, it will be looked back at the decision to allow the Chargers to leave SD as a strategic blunder by the league.

Everybody has egg on their face. It’s a constant subject of ridicule whenever a big game is played in Carson.

While I understand there is a portion of the people that have criticized the decision from day one, and that group has only grown, time and distance from that decision will bring a clarity that will not look kindly on those in power at the time. It was a huge blunder..... Spanos made a poor decision as well in choosing LA....he should have jumped on the Las Vegas opportunity. NHL was the first pro league to enter that market, and it is a huge success. The NFL will be far greater success in my view.

For me this would be great (as London is now 1h 50minutes direct train from where Inlive) however the ratio of Chargers fans to fans any team they would be playing will be even worse in London that it is currently in LA.
The only thing that is good out of this relocation idea would be the condition that Spanos would have to sell team to Hotspur (and stadium) owner.

Chargers owner Dean Spanos on his team potentially moving to London: “It’s total f—kin bullshit. We’re not going to London. We’re not going anywhere. We’re playing in Los Angeles. This is our home, and this is where we are planning to be for a long f—king time. Period.”

The article in question was written by the Rams reporter at The Athletic. Perhaps a planted story from the Kroenke group to sew some dissidence between the two franchises?
One has to wonder, especially given how pissed off Spanos was (never heard him quoted in the manner that he was this morning).
