I really think Taylor is an underrated player. He’s a capable starter in the NFL. I agree with Headtrip that Taylor is a capable starter and under rated at that. No one should misinterpret that I think he's a top tier, Mahommes-like QB stud, but he's probably as good as 10-15 of the current starters on NFL teams now. I also like this quote from LightsOut: "But I suspect that either Telesco et al have another QB1 in mind" That has to be the case! To let Rivers go, even after a bad year and at his age, must mean the front office has locked onto his successor. My question now is- is that Justin Herbert in the draft, or Bridgewater in free agency? (Any other ideas? Brady- blech!-?? or even Stick- do you think the Chargers see him as their future QB???) With Lynn's preference for a mobile QB and with Tyrod as a good backup I am now leaning towards the prediction of a rookie being drafted. I'm already on record for stating that I strongly believe the offensive line and other holes should be shored up before going to a new QB- especially a rookie, but clearly that ship has sailed.

Has nothing to do with going into the stratosphere like the Patrick Mahomes of the league. There is elite, then there are the rest. I will let YOU tell me which category Tyrod Taylor lands in. Or a suck Cleveland can tell me after they cut him. Or a suck Buffalo can tell me after they cut him. Or. Mahomes is also going to Disneyland now.
