I agree with Headtrip that Taylor is a capable starter and under rated at that. No one should misinterpret that I think he's a top tier, Mahommes-like QB stud, but he's probably as good as 10-15 of the current starters on NFL teams now. Tyrod top 10 ?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?! OMG, top 10 he says.......................oh Totally Bolted, make them stop already !!!! HAHAHAHA Oh, they are killing me over here. TB, delete the posts !!! If you have any mercy on me, make them stop. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Freaking Top 10 !!!!! Holy hell. Poor Freak. I'm not here to harangue other Charger fans, and I'm just posting my amateurish opinions on the team I blindly follow and desire to succeed and win. But you've obviously developed MahommesMyopia. You can't seem to return to reality as you drivel about Mahommes like an unbeatable god in our division, or heaven forbid someone mention ANY quarterback- rookie, free agent or back up- and you feel you need to compare them to your idol. You don't. We ALL know that Mahommes is an outstanding QB and anyone we have on the roster or may add this year will NOT cream your jeans like Pat does. But for those of us not in a starry-eyed bromance with our division rival's QB we are discussing what could happen this offseason for our team and not letting the fact that whatever we do won't be enough to reach the rarefied air your wunderkind breathes. So it may be Tyrod Taylor starting for the Bolts. Or Stick. Or Bridgewater. Or Herbert. But it won't be Mahommes, and you've just got to let that go Freak.

When you start questioning my fandom. It means you know I'm right. Thanks. My creamy jeans bromance with Mahomes has not been made public yet. Soon, you will see us both come out of the closet, together. You need patience. What I AM is a reality guy. You need to face reality. Mahomes in the division is the target, the goal, and what every team with any kind of IQ, recognizes and schemes to offset him. Have you heard of match ups ? "Its a chess game" ? That's where we are at. We have to keep up. We are also contacting Burrows, Brady, Herbert, and heavens knows what. We aren't reaching out across the globe because we think Tyrod is the answer. Sorry.

Unless you have an answer to replace perryman, I think you have to hold. We drafted his replacement last year in Drue Tanquill who played well Perryman had 68 tackles 50 solo Tranquill had 75 tackles 61 solo

Having a better QB than Mahomes would be swell but don't hold your breath. We need a D that can pass rush, defend the run, control the edge and pass protect on every down. We need a ball control offense that can grind it out or air it out, keep opponents on the bench and score in the red zone. Mobile QB with a decent arm & composure. Solid OL that can convert short yardage more often than not. A RB that we can ride. A WR with speed & hands. A top young CB. ...among others. TT needs some FA hits.

It cannot, cannot, cannot stop us from trying. If we are shooting at A+, just land on the B+, then do the rest of what you outlined in your post. All we ask is for our shot.

Speaking of RBs, where do you guys think Melvin Gordon will end up? His holdout really changed how many fans perceive him, and his return sure didn't validate his dollar demands. BUT he is a good running back, and can run and catch. Because of this I've seen rumors of him landing with the Chiefs. That's a scary thought. Any other predictions for MG3? Anyone think he re-ups with the Chargers?

Soon, you will see us both come out of the closet, together. You need patience. Not sure about Freak but I am certain Mahomes will. It just depends whether he decides to come out during his NFL career, or after to avoid "distraction".

“Tyrod Taylor is a heck of a quarterback,” Lynn said, via ESPN.com. “We couldn’t have a better backup right now, and now he has an opportunity to maybe step up into a starting role. I’ve had Tyrod before [in Buffalo], and I know what this young man brings to the table, in the passing game and the running game. One of the things he does very well is take care of the football. I believe every year he’s started in this league he’s been the No. 1 quarterback in taking care of the football. I believe more games are lost than won. So if we can just take care of the football and take it away, we’ll be OK.”
Take care of the football. Oof. Direct shot at PR.
“Maybe” step up. He’s not committing. There will be a competition. I’m still guessing there will be a FA QB signing.

Anyone think he re-ups with the Chargers? I think his 2019 holdout, contract demands broke ties with Chargers. He stayed out, gave up game checks, fine money when there was nothing to be gained contract wise, to the detriment of the club & his teammates. We aren't meeting his earlier demands and I don't see him taking less with LAC. Might happen but seems unlikely. He demonstrated a lack of trust in the organization (justified or not) and can't expect LAC to place their money (and trust) in MGIII.

It will be financial if he doesn't return.
