I still would have signed Cam and drafted an OT at #6... Esp if I knew I was trading up for Murray in hindsight.

i they would have really been watering down the talent level by taking the 51st OT in the second, and heaven knows who at ILB in the 3rd. Blue Chip Big School Billy Murray is mucher better. Probably so, but the Brady example is always sitting there for the folks that believe talent can be found in every round, you just got to be good at finding it. Its example alright. 20 years of digging through dirt to find one diamond. New England didn't even know he was a diamond when they drafted him ! GM's look for WAY better odds than that. Way better. They would be negligent to do otherwise.

But after Dalton was cut this morning, would BB prefer the Red Rifle over Cam? And would he be cheaper?

Last weekend I went up to Walmart and bought a grandkid a Red Ryder BB Gun. You know, you'll shoot your eye out one. Took it home, just to piss of his mom and my GF. Out of the box, kid loaded it, cocked it (my favorite term), NO shooty !!! The lever was broke. I determined that the lever had to click 7 times before it was ready. NO clicks. Just smooth slide. I take it back to Walmart desk. "No returns on firearms and BB guns." "You'll have to contact the manufact." I went back and bought another Daisey Model for the kid. I couldn't go back home without one. It worked. So Monday I call Daisey. "Where did you by the gun ?" "Walmart"........."yeah.....We can't do a refund because you didn't buy it through Daisey.".................................. "We'll email you a label and fix the thing. We're backed up probably 6-8 weeks."

The difference for me is whoever is playing the Cheatriots. I'll still hate them for as long as Bellycheat is still the HC and hopefully not fear them anymore now that Tom Shady is on the Bucs and I will also root for whomever is playing the Bucs, screw Shady. I've never hated KC, Den, or LV because they never really got in our way when we had a talented enough team, it was always the Patriots or Steelers or Jets that seemed to knock us out of the playoffs. The Steelers knocked us out of the playoffs ? I think one of the greatest Chargers game I ever saw was 93-94. When we went into Pittsburgh, in Winter, and upset the Steelers. To this day, Steelers fans call it the most painful loss they have ever had. That's saying something. That's giving Bolty Bolts respect ! It's hard for me to remember all of the 80's when I was a little fan and 90's when I was a teen (I remember watching that 94 game and it was amazing but couldn't appreciate it as much as I would have now). I was referring to the 08 playoffs in Pitt (I was at that game), had we won that game we would of hosted Baltimore in the AFCCG and then played the Cardinals in the SB.

There are tons of gems that have been missed for a variety of reasons. Just understand that the scouts do a good, not perfect job of high-grading the raw material and that as the draft/UDFA goes on, you're sifting through their leavings. Most of the best are found early but that's no reason to quit looking. The Chargers have done well in that regard.
