Not the way I hope the draft goes, but this is what I can see happening: 1. BENGALS - Joe Burrow 2. REDSKINS - Chase Young 3. trade up MIAMI - Tua Tagovailoa 4. GIANTS - Mekhi Becton 5. trade down LIONS - Isaiah Simmons 6. CHARGERS - Justin Herbert 7. PANTHERS - Jeff Okudah 8. CARDINALS - Jedrick Wills Jr. 9. JACKSONVILLE - Derrick Brown 10. CLEVELAND - Tristan Wirfs Redskins are going to want way too much in a trade. Miami has enough draft capital to still have a great draft and shouldn't risk losing TUA to Chargers or another team willing to jump them. I wish Simmons was still on the board and the Lions picked Okudah, but I think when the dust settles the Chargers will (sadly) take a QB even if Simmons is still on the board. Perhaps TT can surprise us all. I think that they already have a deal in place with Cam Newton and are waiting until after the draft so they don’t nuke the value of their pick. I will predict that your mock of the first ten picks is 20% accurate. Not only crafty, it would be very Telesco. Telesco had dinner with Bosa in a crowded Pro Day dining hall. Never mentioned him again, then drafted him.

I've posted the same thing, BleuMoon, that Okudah is probably better than Simmons- but mostly because a CB is a more premium position than a LB. If they were both available when the Chargers pick, I'd have a tough time choosing between the two but I'm leaning towards Simmons because we signed Harris in free agency and Simmons' versatility along with Derwin James would wreak havoc on offenses. That is the thing, Simmons can play CB......and no not at the level of Okudah.......but Okudah cannot play LB at all. Simmons would be the better pick, but there is no fail in either player. Ok. That did it. I have taken about as much fantasyland football as I can bear on here. Get the hell out. Telesco drafted Simmons as his replacement for GM too. Holy hell and fish on Friday. WOW. The 6'4 240 pound Cornerback. That is so horrible it can't even be Freak Approved and EVERYTHING is Freak Approved. Congrats. That's getting it done right there.

You beat me to the punch. Versatility is a plus. I like the idea of seeing Simmons, Ingram & Derwin all posted up near the line of scrimmage. Their collective athleticism in theory would allow unique interchangeable chess moves. Overload Bosa's side and forgetaboutit. Each fast enough to blitz or drop back in coverage, each big enough to cover TEs or blast a RB in the hole. Guess who's coming to dinner... Exactly......and if the Bolts get solid play from the other Safety, whomever that ends up being, then James, MI and Simmons become even more unpredictable. Build this defence into a top 1-3, and watch Bosa happily resign.....

Sure, money is the main thing but if the defense around Bosa is great he will at least prefer to stay here. Conversely, if the defense is ho-hum, then he'll want to go somewhere else and still get paid! If you're on a good defensive team, then you're probably hitting the individual bonuses in your contract, right? And getting the recognition and fame for marketing and self-branding. It sure would be nice to have that happen in the 2nd biggest market- hypothetically!

You beat KC with a killer defense and a low turnover ball control offense.

"Hybrid" Simmons sounds like Jack of all trades, master of none. That is hardly the case. 4.39 speed with exceptional explosion & athleticism is great anywhere on D. He's too light for DT but that's about the only position he shouldn't be very good at. 6-4, 238 screams LB. The 6-3, 238 Kuechly is one of the best even though he doesn't have Simmon's speed. Isiah was the 2019 Butkus Award winner for the nation's best college LB. He was also very good at S and in the slot. The challenge for his future NFL team will be to not spread him too thin, not fail to use his strengths. He'll dominate for the right coach.

I thought teams were only allowed a specific number of interviews or is it based solely on a time limit as in you can talk too as many players as you want within this time limit? You always hear stories of players saying X team never talked directly to them, but then drafted them. Has TT interviewed Simmons, Okudah, Chase Young, etc.?

Do you really think he is going to have all these snaps at the NFL level at CB He's just not. Isaiah Simmons by alignment for Clemson in 2019: * Safety: 218 snaps * Slot CB: 286 snaps * OLB: 160 snaps * ILB/MLB: 120 snaps * Perimeter CB: 17 snaps He rushed the passer 71 times and had *7* sacks.

Great write up, and thank you for posting it.......Butkus Award winner....... there are things I look for in the draft, and that is one of them. If we get Cam Newton in the second round of Free Agency, or draft a Jalen Hurts with our 2nd pick, I would love to add Simmons in the first. I just want my security blanket QB mixed in. HA !!
