This is a little disturbing no interviews done with Tua or Simmons or Okudah or any of the OT's.  So Telesco to get tunnel vision and fall in love with a player and already has his mind made up.  Hopefully he still interviews these guys to at least smoke screen other teams.

I've posted the same thing, BleuMoon, that Okudah is probably better than Simmons- but mostly because a CB is a more premium position than a LB.   

If they were both available when the Chargers pick, I'd have a tough time choosing between the two but I'm leaning towards Simmons because we signed Harris in free agency and Simmons' versatility along with Derwin James would wreak havoc on offenses. 

If they were both available when the Chargers pick I would really, really want Telesco to trade with the Panthers our 2020 #2 & 2021 #1 (& #3?) for the 7th pick.  I feel that these 2 players are going to consistent Pro Bowl players and would make the D amazing (other than DT's).  

I doubt TT would do that (Carolina may not as well).

Between the 2 it is a tough call as well, Casey is getting old (same with Harris) and we could use a DB but I'm so intrigued with Simmons.

I would of been more on my guard if it were the 1st!

It was a tweet retweeted by an athlete that had the ESPN logo saying it was ESPN and when click on profile it said parody!  Bastards!!  Said N.E. got him for only $5M lol

Redskins are going to want way too much in a trade.
Miami has enough draft capital to still have a great draft and shouldn't risk losing TUA to Chargers or another team willing to jump them.
I wish Simmons was still on the board and the Lions picked Okudah, but I think when the dust settles the Chargers will (sadly) take a QB even if Simmons is still on the board.
Perhaps TT can surprise us all.

I think that they already have a deal in place with Cam Newton and are waiting until after the draft so they don’t nuke the value of their pick. I will predict that your mock of the first ten picks is 20% accurate. 

Hey sdc...you didn't like my previous mock, so how about this new mock based off of thoughts on GM's tendencies:

1. BENGALS - Joe Burrow will be the #1 pick regardless of Tua hype. Not worth the risk.

2. REDSKINS - Chase Young. Too many holes on team to take Tua, plus Ron Rivera is a defensive coach and Chase is BEST PLAYER on board.

3. (**change** trade up) CHARGERS - Tua Tagovailoa. Telesco is feeling good about his FA moves and he isn't afraid to trade up, Tua fits what AL wants in a QB, and believe it or not he will excite fan base. Best case scenario trade would be for the Chargers to give up this years 1st, this years 4th, and next years 1st especially if we end up in the playoffs. Next years 1st should be in the mid/upper-20s. This way we keep our high 2nd and 3rd round picks this year and fill other needs and/or add quality depth. Not sure what the trade points would be, but that's the trade I would consider for Tua.

4. GIANTS - Mekhi Becton. They need to protect QB and help Barkley before his prime RB-Clock runs out.

5. **change** MIAMI - Isaiah Simmons / Justin Herbert. I changed my mind about them moving up. They acquired all those picks for a reason. No need to give them away in pursuit of Tua. If they like Herbert, he'll be the pick. Otherwise it's Simmons for the defensive minded head coach. Coach comes from BB Patriot tree and they typically trade down, not trade up for players.

6. (**change** trade down) LIONS - Isaiah Simmons / Jeff Okudah. It's a super win win for Detroit. Both players could be sitting there AND they gain more draft picks.

7. PANTHERS - Jeff Okudah / Derrick Brown
8. CARDINALS - Jedrick Wills Jr.
9. JACKSONVILLE - Derrick Brown
10. CLEVELAND - Tristan Wirfs

personally I see the bolts with their eyes on a specific QB. If he is not available at 6 or even 37, they role with Taylor or go after Cam

My thoughts exactly SDC!  Part of me thinks Tua is the best QB in this draft and hopes he falls to us at #6, but a bigger part of me would be relieved if he is taken before us so we don't have to risk it!

This wonderlic score- no matter how inconsequential- adds to that second part.

I kinda sorta agree in that I think the Bolts really are willing to have Tyrod Taylor start, but lately my gut is that they will sign Cam Newton after the draft!

And I still think Tua is taken early- either at #3 in a trade up (not us!), or at #5 to the Dolphins staying put.
