Welcome to the team Justin. You are a sixth overall pick, but I need to tell you that you won't be starting like Burrow and Tua will be. Yea....we going to roll with Tyrod BACKUP Taylor instead of seeing what you can do......it isn't that we don't believe in you or anything like that.......
Lynn announces Taylor will be the starting QB today. Now that just seems unfair......and even a bit stupid. Perhaps we should let the sixth overall pick come into camp and just compete.....see where it goes.
*or was that just coach BS.....

If we had a QB guru I'd be all for Herbert starting early, but we don't so I'm not for it. Maybe Lynn and or Steichen get replaced with someone who can really develop Herbert? By then its too late and he has a torn ACL or shoulder injury from being sacked 100 times... Nahh let the kid ease in slowly.

From what I hear, the shortened / nonexistent offseason training will do no favors for rookie qb's, and that Tua and Burrow MAY not start right away either.

I'm not picking on you, I just want to point this out: ALL pre-draft, you always posted "Liar's Month". "Don't believe what the Org. is saying pre-draft" etc etc But you fully believed Lynn saying Taylor was THE guy. I am only pointing that out for an opportunity to learn. Right now on April 28th, I have no idea what our freak staff will do. But I wouldn't trust Lynn after he lied to you. He didn't really lie to me because I knew he was running interference for Telesco. They were so far up Herbert's ass, I honestly believe if Tua and Herbert were both available, they would have drafted Herbert.
What is everyone's opinion on that ?

The drafted poor Rosen one year, and turned right around and picked Murray the next year ! That shipped Rosen to Miami, who then turned around and drafted Tua !!!!!!! Can Rosen get any freakin' love anywhere ?!?!?!?!?!?! I legit feel bad for him. He seems like a great guy. WOW.

Pretty much what Lynn said, that Herbert won't be the #1 right away but it is a competition. From what I hear, the shortened / nonexistent offseason training will do no favors for rookie qb's, and that Tua and Burrow MAY not start right away either. That is a great take on the impacted offseason. Burrow ? He may start 20 games for them this year. What else do they have ?? If they have a brain in their head, I would have LSU send me their playbook, and just hand out copies of the damn thing to the entire offense in Cincy. You run the exact same system Burrow just ran for the greatest college season ever for a QB.

You have to keep the situation fluid. They will have to play "situational season". What the hell does that mean Freak !!!
If Taylor goes 0-4, or 1-5, etc. You can bet your Bolt Herbert is starting. I always listen to my Spidey Sense, and its telling me you don't pick 6th, and the QB doesn't start all year. I keep hearing "Develop. Learn."
Is there any better development learning than live game action on the field ?
Is there any other TRUE learning, than on the field ?
I will warn AGAIN. You will not win through the post season with Taylor. Maybe I can illustrate it for you, to make my point:
Taylor versus Lamar Jackson
Taylor versus Big Ben
Taylor versus Mahomes
Taylor versus Rivers (we already know the answer to that one, now don't we ?)
Taylor versus Deshaun Watson
None of those are desired match ups my friends. None of them.
You can PROBABLY /UNKNOWN insert Herbert's name in there too. But sooner or later you have to get your rookie his first year under his belt.
They KNOW what I knew: Taylor is NOT the future. What we don't know is if Herbert is, and there is only one way to EVER find out. Do they want to find out sooner; or later ? Answer that, and you are on your way.
