The Raiders with a far larger fan base than the Chargers are going to have a tough time drawing a true “home field advantage” in Vegas akin to what the Chargers suffered in Carson and perhaps worse than the Chargers at SoFi. An NHL fan is unlikely to plunk down hundreds of dollars for a ticket to a relatively meaningless regular season game featuring their hometown team, but an NFL fan planning a Vegas weekend around an every-game counts NFL game featuring their hometown team will pay those hundreds of dollars for a ticket. If you look at the resale market for Raiders games, the ticket prices are off the charts. I am very glad that the Chargers didn’t move to Vegas in more ways than feasibly being able to purchase season tickets for the first time. A Vegas move would have guaranteed that every Chargers game would have been overrun by visiting fans. I do not agree with you, as I believe the Raiders will have solid representation during home games. I also think there is a significant Charger following in the Las Vegas area, which would have facilitated a strong home crowd had the Chargers moved there. The population level is great enough, and hungry enough, to show solid support for an NFL club. Obviously there will be some fans of both NHL and NFL, but NFL will have a huge draw.....far greater than NHL in my view. There will always be opposing fans in attendance, even here in Montreal I suffer through seeing Bruins jerseys at Bell Centre. Seems sacrilegious, but it is reality, eh. The Raiders had massive home game representation in Oakland and even in LA back in the day. Vegas will be a step down - it just remains to be seen how large of a step down it will be. Trust me when I say that the casinos and travel agencies that snatched up a big chunk of the season tickets aren’t going to be marketing to Raiduh fans.

Perhaps it will be as you say......but the lack of winning will be what drives that more than any other reason. Las Vegas has the population base to fill the seats, as they are a sports hungry city. With only 8-9 games, selling out should be no challenge.

The seats will absolutely be filled just like the seats at SoFi … with a large chunk of the Vegas seats filled by casino high rollers and travel agency clients. Neither of those demographics represent the Raiduh Nation. We shall see. 🤷♂️

Fan base turned out Yes, I had an old rugby teammate who lives in Iowa who was flew in for the game with his son and a friend. Likewise, another college ex-teammate who lives in OC has season tickets and was there. Hate them or not (and I hate them), the Raiduhs have a huge national fan base who fly and drive into town for the games.

I just not understand the distaste for a club that has marketed well, build a solid fan base, and has them worldwide. There simply is not a rink in this world that if Montreal was playing, there would not be fans with our jerseys on in stands.

Yes......very much so. I do acknowledge they have created a highly recognized logo, even if it makes me want to spit on it.

You'd get it if you lived in and around LA during the 1980's.

You'd get it if you lived in and around LA during the 1980's. heck, throw in the 70's too. Think of it this way Disc. Consider the NHL team that you knows cheats, encourages it, has a plays dirty, has a history of both, with fans that push uncivility, foul language, and a gang mentality. Multiply it by three. That is the raiders and their fan base. To be fair, this is not true of a good number of the fans. many are really good football fans, put their money where their mouth is, are a fun to be around. In fact, when I attended raider bolt games in SD, my daughter and i would walk around and visit with raider fans who would share their food, and talk fun trash talk, or just football. Vengence was a great contributor to the CMB. Point is there is a team and a fan base you do not like. That is the Raider to us, To KC, To Denver, in fact, Old school Seattle fans as well.

Yes, the club I distaste the most has at times embraced many of the unsavory aspects you have listed, and that has simply increased my distaste. There is the correct way to play our game, and then the disrespectful way exists as well, sadly. I suppose as Joe posted, I might not ever 'get it' as applied to the Raiders. C'est la vie
