I saw guyton and johnson come in on equal footing but johnson quickly established himself as a more reliable catcher of the football, a much more polished and still improving route runner, and the speed is comparable although guyton might be faster. Guyton will have his work cut out this offseason to catch up to what johnson is already showing and johnson is still improving. I certainly hope guyton catches up to johnson as that would be great for the chargers moving forward who are the great UDRFA WR signings in charger history, welker, floyd, osgood, and williams? I think when it’s all said and done johnson could fall somewhere between williams and floyd or maybe even surpass both. Either way it’s great news for Charger fans that they found tyron johnson:) I just felt Guyton actually improved some. I get others see otherwise as he had drops he should have had late in season. Speed is fine, hands not there yet. Either way, if Johnson, and or Guyton improve enough ot be solid contributors its a win for the bolts. When the chargers made final cuts going into 2020 season, guyton was clearly ahead of johnson on the depth chart, so the chargers clearly preferred him over johnson. Johnson got cut and sent to the practice squad. So the speed might have something to do with that decision as johnson is clearly the more polished receiver. Johnson was then elevated to active roster and then sent back down to the PS one last time before sticking on the active roster after that. So while guyton was clearly the more valued asset of the two, johnson made more out of his opportunity and is clearly ahead of guyton now on the depth chart. I love that kind of #$&*!!! A guy making his mark by earning his spot with production on the field. Whatever johnson has over guyton at this point is definitely not about talent, it’s about desire and heart. So hopefully guyton can put those things together too as he was clearly seen as the more talented player of the two by the former coaching staff. So guyton might have a higher ceiling if he puts it all together. Like you said, either way it’s great news for chargers fans:)

I'm going to go bold and say Tyron Johnson... I hope he can become a legit #2 WR and continue to improve his route running. Well, bold is one way to describe this. Desperately pretending these WR's are top NFL is another way. Still butthurt about Juju?

Desperately pretending these WR's are top NFL is another way. The grass is always greener and it can be difficult to sometimes appreciate what you already have instead of what you wish you had. The Chargers already have a top NFL receiver in KA, one of the best in the game and perhaps the best route runner in the game plus he wins contested balls at a 92% clip! Placing him in the top 3 league wide. MW is also a top talent in ways that most of us have come to take for granted, why? Because defenses have to account for him and he opens up the field for other pass catchers, he’s a sure handed vertical threat and can break one or catch one over anyone at any time. so what are we talking about here? The #3 or #4 option WRs on the roster in guyton and johnson? I tell you what, these two guys could potentially give the Chargers some of the best depth at WR in the league next year if they continue to develop. The WR corps is one of the few areas on the charger roster that is literally in good hands

Kenneth Murray is an impact playmaker. Pro Bowl LB in 2021.

FIRST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He has the perfect tutor in TE Cook. Freak was a little too quick. I figured he would have latched on to a few words and missed the rest. It was probably a good thing. Big bubbles ruined many a keyboard for Charger Dave from his drool (Michael Turner being at the top of the list). 😉

Kenneth Murray is an impact playmaker. Pro Bowl LB in 2021. When they traded up to draft him I had visions of junior seau shooting the A gap and getting sacks or TFL on RBs. That was one of the signature things Murray did at oklahoma. I feel bradley missed the boat on that especially after Ingram dropped off the map and the defense needed a pass rush boost. But considering he was the 23rd overall pick and managed to scrape out a respectable season despite being used incorrectly (IMHO), I just don’t think it’s going to be much of a surprise if he has a monster sophomore season under Staley. Murray was one of the best rookie linebackers of the 2020 season.

T'eo, Attaochu, Perryman, Nwosu. No top players in his 2nd round picks.

His role increased before Henry left. They are bringing him along, no doubt about it. PS EVERY young player needs some vet guidance. Cook has seen it all. Increased from what? He wasn’t even on the team before 2020. I think he just kind of fell in their laps and we have to thank pep hamilton for him and storm norton whom I also believe will improve in 2021 and become the teams swing tackle. I believe both of those men played for pep in the XFL but I could be mistaken, maybe the credit goes to TT all the way, more research is needed at this time. BTW, parham was originally signed by the detroit lions in 2019 and cut two days after signing a UDRFA deal, like what the #$&@ is that? They never even gave the kid a chance to come in and compete. Then dallas breifly picked him up and cut him then resigned him at the beginning of 2019 season to their practice squad and then cut him after 5 days on the practice squad. Once the chargers got their mitts on him in 2020 he’s been with the team since. here is a great parham trivia question going forward, he was a 9th round draft choice of the 2020 XFL draft!!! So it’s not like even the XFL knew what they had on their hands. I believe Storm Norton was the first overall pick of that same draft, OMG, LOL!!! Parham played a grand total of one game in the XFL he caught 5 passes for 76 yards in that game before the season was covid cancelled. Here is a bold prediction, I think Parham will develop into a top 10 TE in the NFL! His story will rival gates in regards to how unlikely and crazy his road to the Chargers has been even if his production never comes near gates levels (hard to top that) he has a solid opportunity to surpass HH career numbers with the Chargers and that is enough to make bolt fans everywhere very happy Increased the moment Henry was leaving is what I meant. I love bold takes. Top 10 would be great for Parham !!!!
