I have always found that 9 times out of 10 there is a honeymoon period with new coaches... We'll "likely" at least get a great first couple seasons out of Staley.

LOL. Hi Trippy. At this point things appear to be heading up. I'll leave it at that Hi! Missed you buddy. well you know where we are. Besides Freak needs more wise asses to keep him in check, and Boltnut can use someone to match wits with on the draft/drafted players. Didn't you get into discussions about the draft with Rmancil on the CMB?

Thanks for sharing. That's some tough work. When I drink on game day 100% of people on this forum knows I'm drunk. Eh I’m an air traffic controller by trade, my job is easy as can be when it’s not busy. I literally watched Netflix and read books (wheel of time is awesome) 95% of the time. I was probably safer than I would have been in half of America’s big cities. The Iran scare was, well, really scary though. Now that the draft is over, I'd like to point out the best part of the post quoted above- The Wheel of Time book series by Robert Jordan! Such an epic book series- good call HeadTrip! And now there's a TV series being made about The Wheel of Time which excites me and frightens me because I'd love for it to be a well made, riveting show that follows the great storyline in the books. But TV shows always take some liberties, can't emphasize things like a book can, and the actors playing the characters never look like they do in my imagination. But I really hope it does well. Game of Thrones became a pretty good TV series- if the Wheel of Time show is close to, yet not quite as good as, the GoT production I'll be impressed.

Or when Marty replaced Riley? Ross replaced Henning? Coryell replaced Prothro? Sometimes you get better. I was hopeful for former Den OC McCoy but at no time did I believe that he was a contender for best offensive mind in the NFL.
Brandon Staley is in the running for best defensive mind in the NFL. Which, on the surface, appears to be exactly what we need. Wade Phillips was one of our best DCs ever. Staley did a great job of replacing him on LAR. Staley may or may not be the answer as HC, we'll just have to see. Being an upgrade for D ( which he says he will run) & STs is a very strong probability.
We could take the ST off the field during play, and have a better ST than last year. Hahahhahahha

Consensus draft grades that have been compiled from various sources (for what it’s worth):

Oh the villagers DO try. I've never known why, but its amusing. Is my Gold Leaf Laurel Crown on straight ? It's not like there's a mirror out here while I wave to the loving masses.

Freak can be neither stopped nor contained. Much less kept in check. Nice try.

Great interview (unfortunately at PFF) with Josh Palmer (starts 59:50). Very intelligent, very mature for his age, seems like he has high character. I’d bet that he was probably late 1 or round 2 graded with great make up and they couldn’t walk by with MW being a TBD.

The more I read Wheel the more I see how it shaped the genre. George RR Martin basically lifted the structure and made it x rated. I love both worlds because I’m a big nerd but it’s impossible to ignore how much Wheel influences GOT.
