Giannis is the real MVP, not Jokic. But Joie Holiday may have had the best 1:00 of basketball by anyone last night in the Bucks huge win in Boston. They lose and go back to Milwaukee down 3-2. Instead Holiday hits the game tying 3, then blocks Smart’s shot and throws it against Smart to give the Bucks the ball. Finishes it off by stealing the ball from Smart at mid court. Boston didn’t get off a shot in its last 2 possessions. Unreal

Holliday gave him the lesson of a lifetime in clutch defensive. And in true “Smart” fashion, he tried flopping on both of the plays where he got owned, but there was no contact whatsoever on either play. Absolutely flawless defense. Of course none of that would have been necessary, if Middleton was playing, because the game would have been a blowout in the Bucks favor…

He deserves that organization too….where the fans boo their own team, leave the arena half way through the 4th quarter and the Coach pulls the starters with over a minute left only down 9. Reggie Miller scored 8 points in 9 seconds, at the end of a playoff game. * NOTE - just to avoid (or clear up) any confusion, Reggie Miller did not play in this playoff game. Back in the mid-nineties, during a playoff game, his Team trailed by 6 points with only 18.7 seconds left. Instead of accepting defeat, like the mighty 76ers did with over 3 times as much time left (and their season on the line), Reggie scored 8 points in a span of 9 seconds to lead his team to a victory.

The 76ers season was over if they lost the game, and they just simply accepted that it was over. I would say they also had the home crowd to their advantage, but there was less than 6 minutes remaining in the game and they weren’t winning, so of course the 76ers fans had already left the building. You shouldn’t have to look too hard to find others saying the same either last night or today. I didn’t stay up for the 2nd half of the Suns game, but if it was looking likely that they were going to have to play another game in the series, then it makes great sense not to risk injury to your star players in a game that is likely out of hand. Booker has already missed time during these playoffs. There actually is a tomorrow for them, and it will be in their house. Monty is the Coach of the Year. Doc is a quitter, a choker and will probably be looking for a job again very soon (but I hope he stays in Philly forever)

I was tied up with Girls Softball so didn’t get to see the game, but all I can say is while the Celtics are legit, there should be an asterik in the record books since Middleton did not play in the series.
Good try Bucks, but those are some shoes that just can’t be filled by someone else…
