There is nothing wrong with your opinion, sir. However, I offer you this: Your stance tends to show you would never trade picks for players. When you are 4-1, and just get shredded, and go 4-2 I ask WHEN is the right time to get us help to propel into the playoffs ? 1-5, not trade picks we need them next year. 2-4, no we need the picks. 4-2, no we need the picks. Clearly you would never do it. That goes for lightsout42. Tell him don't even bother replying. I'm right. I'm always right. He knows it too. Not never, just a matter of timing. Our window is opening, not closing. Build for the window, not for the season. There’s no such thing as windows anymore. Turnover is constant and each year is sui generis.

This is probably crazy talk, but...
Leonard Williams might make sense for both the Chargers and Giants.
The Giants are going nowhere this season (1-5). They also are -$11 million in salary cap for 2022. Williams will count as $26 million against their cap in 2022.
Chargers will have $78 million cap space in 2022... so they are one of the few teams that could fit him under their cap. Imagine Bosa and Williams side by side.
Another team that is in trouble (cap wise) in 2022 is the LAR (only $6 million cap space). Sebastian Joseph-Day is a FA next year. Certainly Staley must be interested. There are many quality 3-4 DE's and NT's that will be free agents in 2022: Kenny Clark, Austin Johnson, Harrison Phillips, DJ Jones, Sheldon Richardson... from teams that will have cap issues (NO, GB, NYG, DAL, MN, LAR, SF, ATL, BUF, CLE).

The Green Bay Packers are signing him. By the way, GB goes to the playoffs every year. That is all.

Covington, Joseph, and Jones are all UFA's at season's end. And let's face it, Tillery ain't getting the 5th year option. Re-build time. TT needs to hire himself a trencher...

Yeah as really GB management knows what they are doing Since 2016 they have won SIXTY games. Went to the playoffs 3 times, never losing in the first round. They are clearly going back this year. How do we stack up on all that ?

How do we stack up on all that ? Put a chip on Herbert's shoulder... The "Happy go lucky California kid" image will only get you so far. Rogers always plays like he has something to prove, its worked for him.

Herbert is just completely different than that. His competitive nature is quietly held. I loved hearing him on Dan Patrick. He works at the facility, and then goes home---sometimes for more study. Dan asked him don't you like to have fun ? Herbert said "Football IS fun." Such a Pro at such a young age. We are proud.
