They are 0-2-1. They tied the Colts in week one. Overtime, NO SHOOTOUTS ! SHOOTOUTS ARE FOR BABY'S !!!!!!!! If the Chargers should lose to Houston, who is it you are wanting fired? If our offense can't outscore Houston there is a serious problem. Like I said, I'll put away the torch and pitchfork till the bye week BUT Lombardi would likely be the center of my week 4 anger just as he was for week 3.

Lombardi is suffering from the paradox of choice. He said he was ramping the offense up to "football 202".
He has this big bag of tricks but 60% of them suck. So just bring it back down to"football 101" and add in a few flavor plays.
He is what we have for this year at least, and it is a long season so we better get something figured out soon.

But I'll help you here. Because I am a Giver, give till it hurts. When everyone is jumping you about firing people, just answer that is RARELY done before the bye week. Then it is SELDOM done during the bye week. Team's wait until the season is over. Staley is so new I don't even see a threat on the bye week. We would have to be 1-6 and Staley got into two fistfights with Herbert for him to be fired. But I repeat once again,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,at season's end, if we did not make the playoffs again, lookout. Something will give.

Now I just taught the villagers about how firing people in the NFL works, but I didn't say OC's. I meant like HC and GM's. They can fire Lombardi tomorrow morning if they feel they need a scapegoat. Lombardi is PRAYING for a 27+ point week this week.

So nobody on here will acknowledge the impact losing these top players has on the end result?
Those coaches simply need to find a way.....and if they don't it is all on them?
You guys would have turnstiles at the front door.....
......and having such a severe reaction would definitely impact your ability to attract talented coaches in the future.

It would have zero impact. There are a finite number of HC opportunities in the NFL. When there’s an opening there’s no shortage of applicants. He’ll, the Jags cut ties with Urban Meyer after 1 year and had no problem replacing him with a bonanfide HC.

" So nobody on here will acknowledge the impact losing these top players has on the end result?" - Captain Obvious I said from the get go, year three is the decider. TT and Staley will leave together, or they have success and both stay long term.

Our problem has been the rookie HC experiment that Spanos and TT refuse to acknowledge as a failure. (for this team).
There would "likely" be no turnstile at the HC position if we could actually hire a good one that has real experience...

Its not the injury bug that hit us, ITS HOW THE HELL WE RESPOND TO IT. What really chaps our hide as fans is we get to see other teams rise up and overcome (play inspired football) after they get hit with injuries. It never, never, seems to happen here.

Yep, other teams may be able to identify and hire first timers who are successful but never for the chargers. And when I say never I mean not once in 60 years

Sure. Things must change at some point. You’d think blind dumb luck would result in hitting on at least 1

Yep, other teams may be able to identify and hire first timers who are successful but never for the chargers. And when I say never I mean not once in 60 years Meh, there's always the next 60. Our most successful years came under experienced Head coaches: Don Coryell,
Bobby Ross Marty Schottenheimer Norval Eugene turner *
Norv got us to the AFC championship game so I guess he counts too but I will put an asterisk on him. Wasn't his team.
The best predictor of future success is past success.
Can we send Spanos Sean Payton's number?
