1. DT 2. OT 3. OG 4. LBs 5. FS then depth, depth, and more depth i think we can find upgrades/good starters in FA at FS/LBs for cheap. I got DT LB OT FS blah blah Currently....................... I think White, Brown, and Perryman are good enough to get us by. Throw in Adrian Philips too and I think we’re good. I think Perryman comes back on a one year prove it deal. But I would expect to draft a LB to take over for Brown or Perryman. I also wouldn’t mind making a splash on a guy like Mosely if Baltimore let’s him go. I also wouldn’t mind going after Sean Lee. I know he has injury issues, but I mean all our LBs do so we’d be in the same spot if he gets injured. At least he’d be a huge upgrade if he pans out.

I had thoughts about Sean Lee too, SBB.
Cheap. Experienced.
Young, athletic MIKEs from the draft are gonna be hit or miss.

Without knowing the status of Lamp, I like OG at 28. Rivers like all pocket passers needs a place to step up into. The Bolts had a major weak spot there. To me the impact is an extra second or 2.
After that DT. We need a run stuffer, 2 block eater.

Meanwhile, there are rumblings Denzel is being targeted by LAC.

After that DT. We need a run stuffer, 2 block eater. Garrett Bradbury is climbing rapidly. Add that he benched well today at a little over 300#. Would you like him at #28, TB ? I put him at #91 to LAC, maybe a little too optimistic.

I do think hoping Sean Lee plays a full season is a big IF, but so is Perryman. Rather take a chance with Lee than Perryman based on their playing history. No slight to Perryman of course. Also as Lynn has said, they’re comfortable that White can play any of the LB positions. So let Lee play where he’s comfortable, let the other LBs figure out where they’ll play and then use White as needed.

The LB position is evolving in the NFL. We play modern defensive football.

Arm length......really not going to go down that road again. Is the prospect a player I project to having the abilities needed to succeed at the NFL level, then he is on my board, and an option. Don't let the measurable aspects decide things......
But Wood, your favorite OT, Risner, was measured at 34" on the arms, usually good enough for an OT to escape the T-Rex tag... Winner: Dalton Risner, Kansas State
At the Senior Bowl, Dalton Risner was a little under the arm length requirement, but he managed to just hit the 34-inch mark at the senior bowl. That is good news, but the length isn’t how he won, but instead used technique and quickness to win.

I think TT will take the best player available at a position of need. The positions of need are OT, DT, LB, OG, FS. - Not necessarily in that order but they are all needs. The need for an OT is not about 20 seasons and still counting. I admit that I haven't really studied for this years draft. I've somehow lost the note pad I used for making notes as I watched the college games this year. It looks like there are several good prospects at DT and that makes me think one of the highly rated DT's will be on the board at 28 - so my guess is the first round pick will be DT.

Right cat. You are agreeing with me and disagreeing with frozen. See the original posts ! Ok. I will say it. Martez Ivey and Chuma Edoga, both mid round prospects, have very long arms, which may serve them quite well on Sundays.

1. OT 2. DT 3. LB
OT to keep the offense balanced. I would like a guy that can run block and pass block as a future LT. Once you past the late 1st/middle 2nd round, the OT's are 1-dimensional and RT's only. To beat a variety of the best playoff D's, you've got to stay balanced...
DT to keep LB's clean in the run game and push the middle of the pocket in the passing game. There are DT's that can do both that you will find in the 3rd round.
LB is a close 3rd. There are very few that can be a Perryman-type force in the run game and be good in coverage, also.
Several scenarios:
1. OT: Greg Little / Andre Dillard / Yodney Cajuste 2. LB: Germaine Pratt / Tyrel Dodson 3. DT Khalen Saunders / Daylon Mack
1. DT Dexter Lawrence 2. LB Pratt / Dodson 3. OT Max Scharping / Tytus Howard
1. DT Lawrence 2. OT Dalton Risner 3. LB Terrill Hanks

OT is a huge need, and one that will be becoming even greater next season. TT must find an OT.....draft, FA, kidnap him....but get one.
I like Risner and Ford.....not too sure if either will be there @ 28th.....
