This recently completed season had many moments of serious entertainment......the roller coaster ride is important aspect to winning a championship. Winning every game 51-0 and being presented the Lombardi in a half empty stadium just doesn't seem as fun as a battle of the unknown each week. I’m not expecting them to win 51-0 every week. I am expecting a team up 27-0 with a minute to go in the first half to win. I don’t think that’s unreasonable. A LOT of things, had they been done differently would have produced a W. An easy one with OC Moore is at least burn some clock with runs and /or score more in the 2nd half.

Absolutely. To me it takes into account his skill and accolades thus far in his career, but also reflects his collapse in his first playoff game. Let me help you guys with all of this. Nobody is blaming Herbert for Jax game. One Touchdown pass, 273 yards, no INT's, no fumbles. He has shattered 3 year records for new quarterbacks. The team KNOWS the talent they have at QB. OBJECTIVELY he is a top 5 QB in the NFL. He is young, so you have years ahead of you. That all adds up to money time. We are going to have to pay the pied piper, and it's not even a discussion. Feel really good if you get less than 51 million a year. Because that is what the market will bear. It's not Coupon Tom time, he and his agent don't give a shit about Cap numbers, and its not bargain time. You just cut the check and keep your mouth shut. If our boy is smart, he flew down with Burrow to Miami, and they are playing catch with Tom Brady laughing their asses off. $$$$ Thank you,
I figure if I left it alone you would spell it out. This is like good fellas "Ohh no you're in cap hell? F-you pay me!"

He will get it no matter what. However, I am curious, what would you give him ? I see the neighborhood of 50 mil per year, what do you like ? It doesn’t matter. As long as Staley is the HC we’re not going anywhere. You can’t just invest in players. You need to invest in a culture changer at HC and they didn’t. Might as well do a Hershel Walker type trade and get a boatload of picks for Herbert. $50m a year? Win some playoff games and then we’ll talk I hear a lot of frustration in this. And while it seems that I’ve generally agreed with much of your candid/skeptical assessments of the club and the staff, this is probably a bridge too far. I just don’t think there’s a world in which Herbert isn’t extended or that extension is less than $50M/year.

We have done much better than most. Fouts, Rivers, and now Herbert since I was a kid. Brees as an honorable mention and Stan Humphries was better than most as well. Now we got guys that don't want to [pay Justin or want to trade him away. You can't make this stuff up.

I’m down on just about every single guy that was on that field. They’re all mentally damaged from this going forward. Clean house. Yes we’ve had good fortune with QBs but it just doesn’t matter.

Except that one guy from the Bengals who single handedly lost the game and blew out his knee all in one fell swoop.

I’d rather have guys that care deeply about blowing a lead like this and vow to do whatever is necessary to prevent it happening again. We need some mamba mentality

Maybe more of the team should have thrown their helmet at Staley's feet.

It is what it is. moe's fantasy about these deep caring players he wants is extinct. Get paid. Don't get hurt so I can get paid for MORE years. That's the only goals now. They want the postseason and superbowl...........BECAUSE IT PAYS EVEN MORE. That's it.
