OL is something we’ve already invested in. Get some depth in later rounds but we need an OL coach. Like the Pats had in Dante. This is not a skill position folks. I’d rather have someone big and nasty like Dielman or Ritchie Incognito. We need some attitude in that group. Like u ain’t touching the qb and if u do there’s gonna be holy hell to pay.

Time for the adults to enter the room. Yes RB in the first. We don’t have the horses now to be the type of running team we need to be. Ek is our Ronnie Harmon, not our Natrone Means. For gods sakes, get a bell cow back this off season. Kelley and Rountree are definitely not it and Spiller isn’t unless Staley is too blind to see what he has (and that may be the case based on jettisoning Chenna, Kyzir, et Al). Let’s give him the befit of the doubt on talent assessment and get that back. I was pounding the table for Kenneth Walker last draft. You all saw what he could do. All of a sudden Geno Smith looked like an NFL qb. Get a damn RB. 30th in rushing. Telesco said we will never be a balanced offense because we have Herbert......................ok......................but the 35 percent running we did do HAS to be effective. It just has to. Postseason you want to be able to bump that percentage up too. I am not talking crazy talk either. Can we shoot for 16th in the league or something ? Is that just unattainable for us ?? Should not have to write this every goddamn year on here.

Only doubt. Perhaps you are relying on the even a blind squirrel will find a nut theory?

TT better be investing in OL/DL every year.....might be mid rounds, but still needs to be done. I find it interesting that certain positions are called 'skilled' while others are not. These are the Pros, it doesn't get any more talented than this level, and every position requires plenty of skill. 'attitude' can be dangerous, give me skilled with high energy.....

I don’t make the rules. This ain’t hockey where every player has to handle the puck. These guys aren’t the ones making the plays with the ball in their hands. Just move bodies. That’s a “skill” but not one that requires superior athleticism. Work as a unit with some grit. That’s what we need up front.

I think your view does a disservice to those OL/DL players, and the skill required to play those positions.

IMLTHO Our '21-'22 run deficiency is primarily coaching. Ekeler and Kelley are capable of avg numbers or better. OL has the physical skills to be better and generally are the smartest group on the team. Offensive success is a team exercise. We have not executed a successful run operation. Who is in charge? A world class RB can cut through a lot of the BS- but most teams are avg or better through play execution with decent NFL talent, which we have in our players. New OC - RB coach- OL coach- run game coordinator- GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER! YOU CAN DO THIS!

I’m gonna go a step further and say we need better than average we need real talent to pair with Ekeler. I hate to say this but I’m afraid that Herbert isn’t that guy. It may have been the rib injury but I didn’t see that playmaker at QB that I thought we had in many games this season and especially when the chips were down. I’m afraid he’s not at the Mahomes/Burrow level and that’s our competition folks for the foreseeable future. We need a weapon that only requires Herbert to hand the ball off.

I'm going to disagree with the QB evaluation that broke records in his first 3 years. 2nd in the league in passing yards with our starters injured ?!?!? I will fully agree with we need an RB1 to pair with Ekeler.
