James, Gilman, Layne, Woods......Chargers do not need any safety, they are stacked at the position. we are still in line to sign John Johnson III I think I think so too. While Branch is a very good prospect who may still be there at 21, I think the option of signing JJ3 makes it unlikely that a Safety is the best player on the board.

Branch is a slot corner and wouldn’t be a safety in Staley’s D. I think they sign JJ3 after the draft after things shake out. |

The big 3 TE's will be gone by the time we pick in Round 2. If Robinson is gone and Kincaid, Mayer, or Washington are still there, TT would be an idiot to take any other offensive player.

I have a feeling TT will sign Callahan in the second round of free agency. Just a hunch................. I would be happy with that, especially if his price comes down later in free agency. That's the message of the second round of free agency. If you make it to there, it's automatically at lower prices. We are heading into the Dollar General of free agency next.
