This loss is on Staley and his defense plain and simple... The man is a fraud. Touted as a "defensive genius"... Not so much.
Season isn't over yet, but next week has to be a total flip on the defense.
It was nice to see JC Jackson play at a high level even though the secondary kept getting trucked play after play.

Yes but JC Jackson had the bonehead play of attempting run out the interception from the endzone giving the offensive the ball o the 5 instead of the 20 which changed the play calling as well as caused the short punt that gave Tua a short field.

JC played well but he had two bad plays and one of them was an int.
The PI on the hail-mary at the end of the half and not going down in the endzone. He was in coverage on hill for a couple big plays.
This loss is on the defense. and by proxy Staley.
We put up 34 points and controlled the clock with a monster run game and a safe passing attack. We gave up close to 500 yards in the air. and our defense is at full strength.

He also hasn't played in a year. Def a few boneheaded plays but I'll look for the good however I can, it could have been worse with him.
