If what you posted is accurate, that the talent on both clubs is essentially the same, then why would TT be blamed for any results? af wants TT's head, has for years, and that bias clouds his judgement of TT's performance. I like Staley as a HC, but I would never hire Staley as a DC.......that is the problem on this club. This is comical my friend, we are 3-4 and the Chiefs are 6-3... We have NEVER won the AFCW with TT and got embarrassed in the playoffs last year with HIS and Staley's guys.
Saying the talent is the same on both clubs is hugely debatable.
Yet I have a bias and clouded judgment? Look in the mirror pal.
I see the forest through the trees, nothing changes till TT and Staley are gone. Over that Spanos, but lets be real, Spanos is not going anywhere.
I am not the one that says the rosters are similar in talent levels, and it is quite debatable. It does seem like the Chargers play tight games against the Chiefs, last game not being the recent norm. Regardless, you seem to take all things wrong with the Chargers, and place it in TT's lap. His fault.....this is where you show the bias. I have complained TT allows this continuance of the Staley defence, when it clearly is bad. Hire a true DC....if Staley protests, fire him. Fire TT, Staley, the entire staff even.....McQuire as well.....burn it down to the ground....and there will be no assurance of winning, just change.

Well, we have objective evidence measured by record and playoff performance. You can hang it all on the HC and I would give them plenty of blame but he’s had a hand in picking 3 straight busts. |

I would disagree. I would only agree with you if Telesco was not the decision maker on head coaches. If little Spanos is the guy who selected and now is protecting Staley then Telesco has done a good job amassing and retaining talent. But that only a part of the job. McCoy, Lynn, and now Staley have all been massive fails considering the talent they had to work with. Whoever is the final decision maker and who is the HC should be fired.

I would disagree. I would only agree with you if Telesco was not the decision maker on head coaches. If little Spanos is the guy who selected and now is protecting Staley then Telesco has done a good job amassing and retaining talent. But that only a part of the job. McCoy, Lynn, and now Staley have all been massive fails considering the talent they had to work with. Whoever is the final decision maker and who is the HC should be fired. I have always been curious about the different 'voice' in the room. Who has what when in comes to true influence. My guess is when hiring a HC, there is a collective of voices initially, then it gets serious, and TT and J Spanos are talking with owner D Spanos. It might even just be J Spanos and Dad.....really hard to know. D Spanos makes the call on HC hiring, and I would be shocked if he abdicated that decision. Same with firings on GM and HC. Too many on here vacillate between TT has obtained or provided talented players, to TT is a huge fail with drafting and FA decisions. It simply cannot be both....and it is not. TT has his hits, as well as his missing, with him being better than average in my view. The problem seems to be more about defence than offence, and who owns the defence decisions.....Staley. I like Staley as HC, but would not hire him as a DC.

It absolutely is the problem and that is where frozen has the wrong idea. I don't "hate" TT and I don't want him fired just because of his record. TT is average at best, there are alot of GM's worse than him but he is who we have. I'm not going to rehash his record its a waste of time and I'm just talking into the void... You and frozen have your opinion and I have mine. TT is the GM its on him... We've reached his ceiling, we've seen it, we're living in it now. You guys expecting a different outcome with this staff is just not realistic IMHO, sorry.
