I never said I did not care about winning, but I understand losing is part of the equation. How have I not answered your question? I think TT has done a good job, I would not fire him. I would disagree. I would only agree with you if Telesco was not the decision maker on head coaches. If little Spanos is the guy who selected and now is protecting Staley then Telesco has done a good job amassing and retaining talent. But that only a part of the job. McCoy, Lynn, and now Staley have all been massive fails considering the talent they had to work with. Whoever is the final decision maker and who is the HC should be fired. TT didn’t hire Staley, ownership did (perhaps with influence, but still). I doubt there are many coaches that don’t really report to ownership in some meaningful way. Go re-watch Staley’s introductory press conference and pay special attention to who was having what role in the process. |

How long do you give TT to build a championship team then? Till the end of time? How do you know that coaching is not THE problem? I believe in our players. Meh. Our roster is over-rated. They made the probably fear-motivated yet rational decision to go “all-in” this year with players that they probably shouldn’t have. I think our players are generally good but the roster construction is nowhere near that of SF or Philly. |

Our offense needs work, but no turnovers vs that Defense is a good game.
We scored points off our turnovers and milked the clock in the 4th quarter. On the late field-goal drive Justin made some plays with his legs and Keenan had that circus catch.
We made the plays we needed to make to win against what is probably the best defense in the league.

You may be correct, but that defence has to be acknowledged and part of the evaluation. Virtually every offence would have challenges when playing them. The Chargers won, with contributions from all aspects.....now do it again is my thought.

Our 2 TDs were on drives of 50!yards and 2 yards. Herbert’s output was the lowest of his career. He missed some throws and others were dropped. The OL which was supposed to be a strength is a weakness.

Wise and lucky, there were a few near misses. Herbert def still needs to work on his batted passes problem. But you're right, a few impatient INT's and we likely lose last night, Herbert does deserve credit with that.
