Jim Harbaugh: "I think Trey is one of our five best right now...that includes Joe Alt on our football team." On Trey: "His athleticism is also that freaky athleticism...I would be there's a spot on the starting five for Trey Pipkins." Is Pipkins moving to Guard ?? This thought crossed my mind last night. Alt clearly was picked to be the tackle, so what to do with Pipkins? Zion and Jamaree didn't play well last year, though much was blamed on losing Lindsey. Will Pipkins take over one of their Guard spots? Or can Pip play Center?? (sarcasm... maybe) Harbaugh said Alt will play ONE of the tackles spots. He will not commit to which one. Asked is Slater was still the left tackle, he said that is to be determined. I see Pipkins as our swing tackle, but Harbaugh said we will play our best 5 OL, period, and he sees Pipkins as one of the best 5. Let camps play out, then they slot who the want.

The further down you go in the draft the less that statement matters. We need more than depth in the WR room. As far as I'm concerned WR is a wash in rounds 2-3 and maybe 4... We have other needs... CB or Center in the 2nd and I'd go RB over WR in the 3rd. WR or Oline in the 4th thru 7th doesn't address other pieces of the defense we could use such as Linebacker. I'm TRYING to stay positive but I'm not impressed so far...

Its insane to me that the Bears got Caleb Williams AND Odunze... Odunze paired with KA is just amazing, that needed to be us...

Pipkins is a starter comment is coach speak, perhaps....or as you have suggested, moving Pipkins inside. Pipkins being the project OC might not be crazy.....but Harbaugh and Co. might not be too enthused with Zion or Jamaree. The rest of the draft should give some insight, but the plan going forward is still murky.....

He said similar things about Keenan and they traded him shortly after that. |

Its insane to me that the Bears got Caleb Williams AND Odunze... Odunze paired with KA is just amazing, that needed to be us... NFC North is suddenly one of the best divisions in the NFL. Detroit and GB are already playoff teams. Chicago has a bright future and MN still has lots of talent. |

Happy New Year fellow Charger fans. I am looking forward now to our Brand New Chargers. It begins with a better and better offensive line IMV. McFadden looked good @ DEN, but we need more OL talent. That is the fundamental starting point. Take good care y'all.  Bump.
