Yup! Cut Stick before he can collect for the season. Keep one of Duggan, Bauman, or Perez. Then hunt the waiver wire at end of preseason for a Stick replacement. Tannehill? I laugh so hard. I said Tannehill and was attacked on here. NOW we are begging for him. I giggle. No you weren't, prove it... Maybe the obligatory "we can't afford him" but def not attacked. Speaking of which, I'm sure Tannehill is just biding his time because he knows some club will eventually need him. Curious how much he would actually cost...

In watching that game, a few things come to mind....
Both clubs have agendas that include few starting players for large amount of played minutes. That simply makes it difficult to understand what, or who, exactly is being evaluated on any given play. An example might be Harbaugh's comment about Alt's play as showing he "belongs" at the NFL level, yet the OL play was described as very poor.
Typical preseason game....full of reserve players playing, and plenty of mistakes being made. It is to be expected, eh
I fear Romam doesn't have the horses to be successful in his style of offence. Too early to know, certainly.....

How the hell are the Chargers supposed to evaluate the young WRs with this level of QB play?

How the hell are the Chargers supposed to evaluate the young WRs with this level of QB play? The completion of the pass is simply the culmination of the play.... Did the rookie: Run the correct pattern? Did he get separation ? Was in the correct position for a block? Probably many other aspects they can evaluate..... Your point is noted, but begs the question of what was the cause of such poor QB play across all QB's that played. Harbaugh hinted it started with very poor play from the OL, both in run and pass...... I thought OL was the strength.....silly me.

Yes, but both clubs had many reserve players playing....so an evaluation of the mechanics of any given play is available. I am thinking the mechanics did not look very good, so concern must be elevated in Charger headquarters, with scheme part of the discussion.

Seattle played starting DL much of the game vs LAC backup OL most of the game. The Alt eval was legit. Everything else on our O was compromised by that. RB Patterson looked pretty good considering.

How the hell are the Chargers supposed to evaluate the young WRs with this level of QB play? At practice. Pre-season is purely another tool not the only one. To be fair, Easton, was playing with the red shirts and wanna be depth was he not. I would expect him to look worse. Sure he hasn't impressed, but I think with the rookies etc getting mixed in with the 1's is a better indicator.
