I pretty much agree with your analysis above, get a new set of quality OT's and OG's, very tall order. Then roll with the OC's you got now. Keep Pouncy, walk from Okung. Pipkins gets another year for certain, the rest need to earn their roster spot. Keep Pouncey? He may never play again and we appear to have a decent replacement. We don’t have a replacement for Okung Pouncy being back will be his decision. I think he does. Quis solidifies the position. Okung is the bigger concern. So drafting an OT or better singing a FA or both is #1 priority for the OL.

We don’t have a replacement for Okung Okung has a large cost factor, along with his health issues, walk from him. Pouncy isn't breaking the bank, but also has health issues, so keep him if he wants to play. If TT felt they were good to go at OC, then walk from Pouncy as well, but I don't see it. There is always a replacement.....

The OL is a dumpster already. But you knew that.

I won't be ignorant and try to pin you down with a tough question, I'll just comment. I don't see two starting level guards. We have to be careful, just because our two best guards start HERE, does not make them good. I'll just go through a few: Lamp is glass and can't be trusted to be on the field. Feeney blows. Schofield is up for his contract and just for that reason alone I cut him. I would much rather that money went to one or more others. His money alone could pay for two Draftee's on the line. Think of that.

Think of that. Can we upgrade? Yes. That doesn’t mean what we have is not sufficient to win. It is. We haven’t lost games due to our ol. We’ve lost because we fumbled on the goal line and threw picks when games were on the line. Let’s say we won 3 of the 4 games I’m thinking of: detroit, tenn, oak and KC. We’re 7-4 and nobody’s bitching about the ol (except frozen). Most of the rankings sources people have pointed to out our ol at middle of the pack. So, yes we can upgrade if possible and by all means go for it. But let’s face it we have a number of holes and the most glaring one is at the position of most importance in today’s nfl.

IMO an NFL OL needs at least two better than NFL avg players, hopefully one at LT and no two most frequently beaten OL standing next to each other. Okung & Pouncey are solid starters when healthy but age, health & size of contract have to be considered.
Quis actually looks good, the rest not as much. There's hope that one or more young guys would look better under improved circumstances. Meanwhile we need a stud injection on OL to improve our odds of success.
Philip's best days are behind him. He might be adequate behind an all-star OL but age, wear & tear are inarguable facts. He can't be trusted to carry the Chargers offense on his arm & decision making at crunch time.
The most prevalent reason for the 2019 Chargers losses are mistakes. PR has made some obvious ones but he's not alone by a long shot. Many of our normally reliable players on O, D & STs have made game changing gaffes. My confidence & Lynn & his staff is at low ebb.

Nail meet head. Coaching g is where this shit show starts Nope. Keep looking higher up. There’s no way to get rid of them. The only times this franchise has truly succeeded on the field is when they had a head coach with a proven track record who was good enough to outweigh the shittiness of the team owners. Gilman, Coryell, Ross and Schottenheimer. Lynn is a first timer and it looks like he doesn’t have the right stuff.

Lynn was immediately discussing the oline when he said if we can't get one yard then we don't deserve to win. Multiple times we could not even push one yard. Does Rivers make all those rushed mistakes if he has more time. I would literally be scared to death if Pipkins was my left tackle. I'm not making a joke either.
